1  COOKING / Dessert / Re: My take on cheesecake pops on: October 12, 2009 12:08:13 PM
I love cheesecake already, so any cheesecake covered in chocolate is AMAZING. I love them! I'm sure your BF will love them. Smiley

I, too, am a major fan of bakerella. She is like a goddess! I bow to her talent, lol.
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: exousia's kitschy jewelry post on: October 06, 2009 08:34:48 AM
WOW.
Could you make a collage so I can wist them all at the same time? (just kidding, lol)

But really, these are AMAZING. I love the thermometer earrings, they are so unique! And the bows!
You are so talented. Please update often, I would love to see more of your work.
3  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Jar of Whimsies 6 GALLERY on: September 29, 2009 06:18:04 PM
Hey everyone! I received not one, but two amazing jars from freestyle yesterday! Be prepared for lots of pics. I think some items may be absent from these photos because I went through everything and started using some things before I was able to take pictures, so if I missed anything and you have pictures please post them.

Okay, here we go...

The jars are mugs with an illustration of dandelion seeds blowing away. So cute!!

Here is a rather disorganized shot of most of the smaller whimsies (sorry for the wierd lighting and arrangement, it was a beautiful day today so I decided to take pictures outside under our tree, lol)

Here are my favorites! I said I would scream for joy if I found a little lucky cat or buddah statue in my jar, and she got me pendants which are 1000 times better than statues! YAY! Cheesy And I am pretty sure that the yarn is handspun, and that the matryoshkas are hand painted. I am very excited! I had a couple of other favorites that didn't make it into the picture because they are already in use. One was a bar of handmade loofa soap (the best soap ever!) and a keychain with my name on it and a little lemon.

Here are some closeups of the other whimsies. There are so many cool things in there, I don't even think I can list them all, lol. But among the notable things are the kitty beads, the tiny pinecones (where on earth did you find them?!) and puzzle pieces, the citrus beads, and the tiny little clogs.

And last but not least are the paper whimsies. I got some cool asian paper, a page with cool foreign writing on it, a bunch of cool vintage things like tickets and illustrations, and these really amazing chopsticks with little geishas on the paper cover.

Thank you so much! You really nailed my tastes.

4  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: PostSecret Round 10 Swap Gallery on: September 23, 2009 11:25:52 AM
I've received one more but I am at school right now and I can't post it. I will post it as soon as i get home. I think I have only seen three of mine posted, and I am getting worried about them.

Do you think that having no return address on the envelope has something to do with why it is taking so long for them to arrive? Like, maybe the post thought they were suspicious and threw them out?

Freaked me out, living in FL and all, as an 11ft gator could randomly show up around here at any time!!   Shocked  Shocked  Shocked

I know! I live in FL as well, and one day me and my sister saw a little baby alligator swimming around in the pond near the front of our neighborhood. It is sort of scary because I'm sure where there is a baby, there is a big protective mother somewhere...

8  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Sea Life Swap Gallery Under the Sea on: September 16, 2009 05:20:51 PM
I received from noooitare today!! I am one happy camper. Grin This is going to be a picture heavy post, but I promise you, it will be worth it!

The goodies came in this envelope:

Smiley

This is the first thing I pulled out - A cute little octopus plushie! He is so soft and squishy! Cheesy And I forgot to take a picture of the back, but the pattern of the fabric matches up on the sides and everything so it is symmetrical. Awesome!!

Close-up of the embroidered face.

This is the tag that was attached to the plushie. It says, "I eight it". Teehee Smiley

Next are the ATCs:

"Fish Friend"

"Jelly Notebook"

"Pointy Polanski"

"In the Ocean"

"Laces Up Squishy!"

There were also these really neat envelopes:

I am pretty sure they were made from the pages of a kid's book. The bears are so cute!

Then I found these hairties and a beautiful necklace:

I can't wait to wear them to school tomorrow! Everyone will be jealous. Cheesy

And last but definitely not least:

A beautiful painting of an octopus. I can't wait to frame it and put it on my wall for everyone to see!

Check out that detail!

I feel like I am being redundant, but everything is truly amazing. Thank you Kira!!
