I started making the actual bag today...haven't gotten very far...I'm trying not to mess it up super bad...  I'm stopping after each seam to make sure all my measurements are right lol...I just came up with them off the top of my head so I'm making sure it'll work...
I've got some of the easiest parts done but now it's time for the more difficult parts...

I just finished my second smaller item! yay!  I'm still trying to work out the bag in my head to make sure it'll work the way I want it to.  I may make another smaller thing with some scraps I have here...just to take up some time.
214  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Having some problems with this heavy duty snap kit...HELP! on: February 02, 2009 02:53:32 PM
Ok I bought some snaps to put on a wallet over the weekend...
I went to try it out on a scrap piece because I've never used snaps before...
I thought I followed the instructions like it said until it came to actually attaching it with the tools that came with it...what tool am i supposed to use?  I tried just using one, and it says hammer...i did.  I did both sides and it doesn't snap...the posts are still sort of up and in the way...i don't know exactly how much to hammer, which tool to use, or what i'm doing wrong...
PLEASE HELP ME...

Here's the brand and name of the snap:

Here's the instructions on the back:

And here's all the pieces plus the tools:

I really need to know how to do this...I need to finish this wallet b/c I have like 8 more to make...
Thanks ahead of time!

I founds lots of patterns I loved...couldn't decide on a couple of them so I just bought them all lol.  I may use them all or a few...they go together quite well.  I just got through drawing out what I want and all the pieces and working the math for the pattern...I've made a couple of things just trying to get the method down right...
I can't wait to get started on the real thing.
Yippeee
