Your designs are AMAZING. So is your website! Have you tried getting your stuff into boutique stores? There's clothing that's not as nice quality getting into the fashion weeks here in Melbourne (Australia). Any store not picking up your designs is crazy!

hehe well I still want to be clothed! Thanks for your help guys, got some material today - some feathery-type stuff for the flounces - can't wait!

Yup - that's the theme for our university ball this year. Smiley
Unfortunately, this leaves me completely lost with what to make. I don't want to look trashy, and I'm thinking it means a bit more Brisvegas than Las Vegas anyway, considering we're in Australia! hehe also, I'd already bought this pattern a while ago:
http://www.mccallpattern.com/item/M4709.htm?tab=evening_prom_bridal&page=2
Which I was going to shorten... but now I'm a bit worried it's not really "vegas" enough. What does that mean, anyway?! How can I either make this look more "vegas" - or if that's impossible, what exactly does look "vegas"? Smiley
My friends are boring and will most likely be wearing cocktail dresses from Gasp. I'm different. Smiley
Any help would be appreciated!

This DEFINITELY rocks! I was expecting something very anti-vegan when I opened this Wink but the arrow and the blood and the expression on the (faux) animal's face... amazing. You have no idea how useful that would be in anti-fur demos. lol
VERY talented!!

That's lovely!! Be perfect for uni, when damn Melbourne trains are freezing cold but they love to turn the heat up in lectures...
Very nice Grin

Argh, I know how you feel. I haven't been to Africa yet but I've lived in the jungles in South America and South-East Asia, usually living in villages; food is a huge issue! I always make sure I have some protein bars with me, and although I don't take supplements at home, I take them when I'm travelling. If you've got sufficient supplements, hey, you can be happy on purely fruit and vegetables for a while. Learn a little bit of the language - enough to say that anything containing meat, meat stock, dairy, eggs, or any animal product will make you violently ill Grin And always know how to say "plain vegetables with rice". Not too exciting but it'll get you by when you're eating at restaurants with primarily meat-based menus.
Having said that, do try and get to some local vego restaurants to sample some fabulously awesome vegan Kenyan dishes! Grin
