From ghoulies and ghosties and long-legged beasties and things that go bump in the night, O Lord please protect us.
What I should've said was...from little sister's surgery, identity thieves, assorted hassles and things that go bump in the night. My little sis is ok for now, but her procedure and the family that was at my house because of it bumped my vacation several days and we returned from a less than relaxing trip to a letter from the police saying that our personal info had been found (along with many others') somewhere it had no business being. Then...I can't really elaborate on the hassle except that it was sooo very upsetting on sooo many levels and kind of sent me into emotional duck and cover mode. I haven't been on here for several weeks, so I haven't gotten to gush about what petskin or others made. (Or bask in the gushing for myself. Thankya thankya). And there were actually things going bump in the night. As yet uncaptured animals in the attic right above our bed.

But without further ado my package from petskin.

There's this creepy little fellow...

and this sweet fascinator

Neither felthing nor papier mache is anywhere near my skill set.
And since I keep the pumpkins out til Thanksgiving and the hats out all the time in the Mad Hatter's Tea Party dining room (Hi, nooitare!) They're both still out even now. Thanks, petskin!
22  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Floyd Pepper is Groooooovy! on: November 08, 2012 09:57:50 PM

Made Darling Hubby's mask and blazer "mbellish-ments"
Frogs, epaulettes, and cords. Who know that those cords are the same knots as those trendy paracord bracelets? Last year we won first place at swing dancing costume contest, but this year we placed second. I made my hat and wig, but the only thing new on Janis is the wax lips.

Isn't he cute? And so very Muppety.

(I'd post more pics but every time I try it keeps showing the same one.)

Having fun, course it helped that the day job kept sending me to hang out at hobby lobby, Michael's and Joann's...I had to. Making progress now that I wrestled a tricky bit into submission. Wink

Looking forward to this. Got my sign up in ... By the skin of my teeth seems "halloweenish".
DH was rushing me out the door as I was messaging.
26  CRAFTSTER CRAFT CHALLENGES / Craftster Craft Challenge Theme Ideas, Etc. / Re: Bridesmaid dresses Challenge on: October 06, 2010 11:06:46 PM
One of my bridesmaids was a local beauty queen who had a public appearance after my reception.  She put on her sash and tiara with the bridesmaid dress and went like that. And my sister in law wore hers to prom the next spring. I don't know what it cost for the one bridesmaid who didn't have a family member that could sew for her, but for the rest of them the material actually cost less than the guys' tux rentals. I'd say I did pretty good.

Received from Teag!
We are pretty much posting simultaneously only I got mine last night just had to wait til today for wifi.
Very cute decorated envelope.  The hotel logo makes me smile. We just got into our own homeafter more than a little upheaval.  Also, even though it's envelope-sized, it's the first package/presenty thing I've received in the new digs. Cheesy

A picture of everything together.  Some fabric yo yos, a string of oragami cranes, that flower is a chalkboard tag, a bottle cap magnet, and how cute are those miniature ears!?!?!?
A couple of extra pics because I always wonder about things like this.  My bedroom is world travel themed so I hung the cranes off of what I call the museum shelf.

I've had these soda bottle magnets on my stove hood for a couple of years (and in different apartments) so Mickey looks right at home next to what I now know to be an Ellie badge.

Thanks so much! I hope you like everything you got and that you didn't have to pay extra to spring your envelope from the PO.  I was worried about it being enough when everyone else was posting theirs.  But all in one pic it looks a lot better than when I was making tough decisions about what to leave in.  The red envelope is a lucky money envelope for Chinese New Year's and the Hippie Alien Valentine just made me laugh.

Just observing the shiny awesomness that is this gallery and thought I might give a stab at interpreting the decision maker (which I love). Especially moon the alliance.

Start a bar fight
Pester Inara
Lose faith in God
Regain faith in God
Moon the Alliance
Give moving speech
Stand up and fight
Run and Hide

Thanks so much for posting those pics.
I'm so glad you enjoyed everything you received.  I gotta confess it was hard to send that sleep mask away.  And I forgot to mention that those Disney pics (from Aristocats, Lion King, and The Cat from Outer Space) are from the web site Icanhaspixiedust.
I'm home now and back to house hunting.  Can't wait until I can put that clock in a Mad Hatter's Tea Party dining room that exists somewhere besides my imagination.  Smiley

Off to Hollywood studios !!!! Smiley
