Beautiful job! My favorite part is the bed itself. The headboard and footboard. It looks so vintage! I love it!

Hi Tikilicious,
First of all- congratulations!!! ^_^
Start with the entrance to the bedroom and either work in a clockwise manner, or from one end to the other beginning at the entrance and ending at the other end.
Work for 15 minutes a day, every day. It'll get done. Anyway, you shouldn't work too hard in your condition. You'll get tired and despaired very fast, and then be out of it for few days... See if your husband will be willing to give some of his time, 15 minutes here and there. Get rid of stuff.
Flylady.com helped me a LOT!!!!!!!

Good Luck! ^_^

Thank you so much!!! Cheesy I will try that method. It's worth a shot. My husband has offered his help, but since most of the stuff in that room is mine (junk for future projects I hoped to get to someday, and stuff we have found to be projects for baby, my craft supplies, etc.), I feel overwhelmed when he says "I will do all I can to help, but most of it is your stuff so you have to tell me what to do with it. And you might have to part with a lot, because we just don't have the room", I start to hyperventilate. lol

So this is a great suggestion. Thanks again!

These are all AMAAAAZING!!!  Shocked

I feel so much better now! We have a room that is small, and filled with so much junk and craft stuff and hubby's computer books and what not. And now we are 20 weeks pregnant (yippeeee!!!   Cheesy), and we want to turn it into a nursery. I haven't been on here for quite a while, and came on this morning to look for some nursery inspiration. But THIS is the thread I actually really needed to see. I have been too overwhelmed to even know where to start.

So my biggest question is:

How did you all figure out how and where to start?

Thank you!!!

LOL! I've heard of the common slang term "vajayjay" before, which even *I* use, but "vagigi"? WTF? Oprah, you so CRAZY! That's just dumb! Silly woman!

But your tribute is awesome. Smiley I love it!!! Great job!

*muttering* vagigi. *gigglesnort*

Cute! I like the skulls. They are super "SHAG" (Josh Agle).

Hope Hubby liked them! Smiley

BRILLIANT! My Hubby is OBSESSED with scrabble. He plays it all day long on his mac, or on his pda. I am going to make some of these for him as a Valentines day present! Thanks for a wonderful idea. It is our first Valentines day together as a married couple, since we are newlyweds. I wanted to make something really great for him, since he prefers homemade gifts over store-bought ones. You are a lifesaver!

GREAT project! Thanks!

XOXO

8  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: embroidered letter on: January 23, 2008 04:44:15 AM
First of all, I am a sucker for chickens. I collect stuff with chickens, and with pigs. But the pigs have to resemble neon signs for old southern BBQ joints. So they have to be playing fiddles and stuff, and maybe say "SWEET GEORGIA PIG BBQ" beside of it. (methinks I just came up with my next embroidery piece! But I digress... )

So being that it is a chicken, I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE it!

SECOND of all, this is VERY artistic. Hubby and I both agree that you should do a couple more of these embroidered letters, in this same free-hand loose artistic style, and then get them as a mini-series into an art gallery or museum. PS1 here in New York would most certainly take them. Many places actually would. I see them in big glass frames with enormous white matting, all lined up on a wall so that people could walk by and read the quirky things that the letters have to say. Maybe they could even all link together to form a story. A back-and-forth story, much like "Griffin & Sabine". But wackier. Wink

You have a great gift!

XOXO,
Lenore
9  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Photographed Portrait for the BF for VDAY on: January 21, 2008 06:18:49 PM
These are drop-dead gorgeous. (And so are you!)

I am a bit of a wiz on Photoshop (yayyy photoshop!) and would love to do this for my husband. What filters did you use? What was your step by step process, in order to get that fantastic retro aged antiqued look? I feel like I probably have all of the tools, but have no idea which ones to use or in which order. How ever did you do it?  Grin

FANTASTIC JOB!

Oh WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Shocked I love ALL of it! The embroidery is SUPERB (I love the way you rendered the moon), and the bag, ALL of it! But my favorite is the HAT. If I saw that in a store, I would throw an absolute fit on the floor until I could have it. HA!

Great job!
