11  Craft Swaps / ACTIVE SWAPS WHERE SIGN-UP PERIOD HAS CLOSED / Re: Jar of Whimsies Rd 12 (signups closing 4/2 at 7pm EST , send by 5/1) on: April 04, 2013 07:32:33 PM
I am coming up with absolutely no jar ideas!  Yikes!  I'm sure something will come up!

Don't stress too much!! Any jar you send will find a nice place on my craft room shelves Smiley  But I don't have any bright ideas yet either.  I usually just start throwing things in a random jar/s and when I feel like I might have collected enough (or when I KNOW I have collected too much)  I try to find something unique to fit it in.

I don't usually spend money on these swaps because I have or have access to so many things to include already, but the between the links on these pages and then a "quick" jaunt over to firemountaingems I think both mine and my partners whimsy hoard will be looking pretty good.

I agree with what seems to be the general consensus.... great partnering skills Smiley

I've been stalking this swap for a while and got my questionaire in just under the wire!

I use these swaps primarily for miniature supply collecting.  It's always really cool and inspirational to see the things people have scrounged up to send me.  My collecting generally focuses on the same types of things, so it broadens my horizons to see usable things from someone elses perspective.   I generally sort out the supplies to use in projects, or the bigger or more unique things I display on my craft room shelves until I have the right project to use them in.

My pinterest is huge, so for stalkability I try to keep swap-relevant boards to the top, just an fyi for whoever gets stuck with me Tongue

Oooh good points, I've never kneaded it before.  I don't remember which paste I used, I've probably used a couple, I just grab one that's labeled "hot."

I'm going to try and take pictures with my phone and e-mail them to myself since my computer is choosing to ignore my cameras sd card. Like I said to Alexus, Technology has not been my friend at all lately.

That's what I had to do too....

I have been a horrible horrible partner to Shynii and I apologize profusely.  She sent an amazing package, on time, and I sent late and am super late at getting pics posted.  I am grounding myself from swapping for a while :/

The package came soaked in blood stains and I found this letter:

Next I pulled out this paper bag, which I'm going to have to disassemble and frame:

Inside the bag was a super cozy cowl with two layers so it can double as a make shift apocalyptic pillow:
(my friends are all fighting over this, btw, as if they think one of them is going to get it!)

Next there was this awesome handmade bug-out bag.  The photo does not do it justice.  It is super cute and going to be a great picnic bag until the zombies come Smiley

and facemasks:

and finally, the antivirus!

Shynii, thank you so much, I loved the whole theme and the letter that explained everything.  It was very creative!!!

I have never made a wild rice burger for anyone who didnt love it. They are also pretty filling.  I cant copy/paste on my tablet but the best recipe ever can be found by googling  "heavy table wild rice burger."  Also meat eaters love the indian food/curries that i make lots of, and i make chili with different beans, tomatoes, peppers, corn and broccoli.  Also very filling and lasts a long time after all the ingredients are added.

If anyone has a dollar tree around, check out the nail care section, i just loaded up on eight packs of tiny glass jars filled with glittery things! Smaller than the ones found at craft stores even

I haven't had any time to craft for this swap yet, and probably wont until after next weekend.  It's driving me nuts because for once I know exactly what I want to make and just haven't had the time to get started!
