Geesh, you guys are fast! I had two big midterms last week so I'm getting started tomorrow. I have a pretty rad idea though Smiley Just wondering, how many people here perform burlesque? I just signed up cuz I like sparkly stuff but my partner is a performer.
4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Re: Centerpiece Advice/Feedback Please on: March 17, 2009 01:36:41 AM
I think like 3, 5 or 7 round candles would be pretty in a cluster on the plates, I love white and glass together. You could even up the DIY factor by pouring your own candles.
Here's a pic:

PS If you are worried about wax on your (beautiful) plates, you can heat up spilled wax with a hairdryer and it wipes right off.

I've been wanting to learn to embroider for a while but I didn't know where to start. You inspired me to postpone my homework and spend two hours coming up with an Alice in Wonderland themed sampler. Smiley

Im really interested in needle felting too. I'm excited for this swap because the closest place for me to buy craft supplies is wal-mart, which is an hour away. I wanted to learn to embroider but they didn't even have embroidery hoops Smiley.
