1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Paper Craft Earring Hanger on: February 09, 2008 03:00:33 PM
I saw this earring hanger in a paper craft magazine over the holidays and I knew I had to try to make it! I used 2 sheets of 12x12 scrapbook paper, scrapbook eyelets and a hanger from the closet. I cut the paper to fit the hanger, glued it on with all  purpose white glue and then poked holes where the grommets went and added them with the tool included in the kit and my husband's hammer. I used a cutting matte underneath the paper when I was hammering to protect the table. I'm really pleased with the result! I only did one row for now, and I have some extra room for more fish hook earrings, guess I need to get busy making those now! Smiley Here are the pix(click for larger), hope you like it!

2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Crazy Hat Day - Poker Table on: January 21, 2008 10:05:21 PM
Not sure if this is the right place to post, but I think technically this is clothing...
For work, my husband gets to show his creative side when they have Activities week... tomorrow is crazy hat day, so here is the hat he crafted.

The glasses are filled with hand colored resin, and the rest is all just fun.

Hope you enjoy!
3  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / Hi from Southern California on: January 20, 2008 03:51:05 PM
I found Craftster about a month ago when I was looking for ideas for Resin projects. Man did I hit pay dirt, and then some! I'm just overwhelmed and awed by the talents and crafts that are displayed on this site, whoever created it was a genius, and is obviously filling a very real need in our technosociety, thank you!

As I said, I'm just discovering Resin, but have been a crafter since my teen's, my favorite things are jewelry making, photography, crochet and  sewing but have also dabbled with polymer clay, knitting, watercolor, scrapbook, and anything else, at least once! My husband is also very crafty so that helps, this weekend he made a poker table silly hat for their activities week at work (lucky guy!) - he filled shotglasses with resin colored like whiskey, covered a foam core board in green felt, and put the glasses, poker cards, and snacks all around the table. It's going to be great!

Can't wait to be able to post pictures and get more involved, the concept of swapping is fabulous, and I can't wait to be able to join one!

Thanks all for providing such a wonderful place to escape!

Jenn
