12  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Button pin beaded ring! on: September 26, 2008 08:52:14 PM
Well basicly I found a small pin button and took it apart.
I ripped the old paper off and covered the top metal piece with magazine paper and mod podge.
Before I put the back on I laid two pieces of jelly elastic down over the back of the top piece and closed them in with the back.
Then I beaded it and bam new ring. (:

I'm really proud of myself for figuring out how to use this little button.

thanks for looking

16  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Peace Sign Hoodie on: June 17, 2008 07:42:52 AM
My mother bought me this hoodie that wasn't really my style but I wore it anyways, but when I washed it the monkeys on the front peeled off.

That was about 3 years ago [I can't throw ANYTHING away]

this was before

and this is after

the sleeves have elastic in them.

not really a huge thing but I'm super happy with it.
17  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / DDR dance pad! on: January 13, 2008 05:58:01 PM
So I have this old standard Dance Dance Revolution dance pad that basically doesn't work anymore, and I've been kinda brainstorming ideas about what to do with it (duffel bag, back pack, awkward skirt lol)

If you aren't familiar with it, it is made of a ribbed non-slip plastic and it has black foam underneath.

Any ideas? links?
I would hate to throw it away! Tongue
