OMG He's too cute. I can't wait to make one. The pattern result can be easily changed up depending on the yarn you use, so this is a versatile pattern imo. Great job!

This looks great! How long were your strands to get the right length for your collar? Thanks for the linky too - awesome!

I measured the front of the collar which was like 18 inches so i multiplied by two to get the strand length. I then doubled that for a string length since you fold a piece in half for 2 strands. I just guessed with 60 inches and I didn't braid to the end, I also ended up cutting off a good 10 inches in the end.
Best to start with long strands but hold the piece up to whatever it is to check length as you go.

Used t-shirt yarn and followed the 8 strand braid tute on instructables for the collar. Resized and added darts. I'm an impulsive crafter so I'm always super happy when it works!

It's a Hobby Lobby brand. My mom convinced me to buy it, and for a long time I didn't know what to do with it. lol
