1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / I actually made something!!!! on: June 09, 2008 04:06:35 AM
Crochet has always been a bit of a mystery to me really but over Easter (I know I'm a slow poster!) I sat down on holiday and finally got to grips with it and made myself a scarf! I used this pattern/tutorial http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=54297.0 which I might add is fab!! Anyway, onto the pics!

I'd love to hear your comments!!

2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / My Hew inspired wrap shrug and FRED! on: June 09, 2008 04:02:19 AM
This is my first post on the knitting boards, I'm usually found over on the jewellery boards. I've recently picked up my needles again though and got the bug! I was browsing Ravelry and found Hew by CanarySanctuary and loved it so I set about making myself one after borrowing needles from a good friend of mine. However, my lack of all skill meant that I went wrong almost straight away and so mine is a little different to the original which is here on ravelry http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/hew (I think it's also here on Craftster if you search for Hew) Anyway here is my version which may not be perfect but I love it!!

And then there's FRED!!! I made him ages ago as a little joke to send to my boyfriend who is in the army and posted abroad because I'm always telling him he has no friends for fun and so decided to make him one! He is again imperfect but this just makes him more special!! Here he is hanging out with my other bears before he set off on his long journey to reach my boyfriend.

Thanks for looking and I'd love to hear your comments!

3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Springtime nacklace on: June 09, 2008 03:49:49 AM

Gosh it's a long time since I've posted anything here, well it feels like it! This is a little necklace that I decided to make for myself when I was bored one evening. There's a vast mixture of beads because I just used whatever my hands landed on. There are also little magnetic beads every so often so it closes itself when you wear it and it can be worn as a bracelet as well. Enough babble.....onto the pics!

I've love to hear your comments as ever!

4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / A little bit of everything ... on: May 02, 2008 09:05:53 AM
I've been a bit lazy and not taken many pics of the jewellery that I've made lately so here's a random selection for you all.

First up a necklace and earrings set I made to go with a new pink and blue top.

With a cute little bead on the clasp

Second a bracelet and earrings set made from shell and jasper and pearl

And last but not least some button earrings I made for fun

Any comments are welcome! Thanks for looking!

5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / New bead delivery means new bracelets :D! on: April 04, 2008 09:19:07 AM
I've been waiting for my new beads and they arrived!! I've made these on request for two of my work colleagues, they don't have them yet though so we'll have to see!!! I was asked for one in colours similar to the one I made for myself which was the darker pink colour, one in browns, one in pinks and purples and one with lots of different bright colours on it. I've got my fingers crossed that they like them!  Undecided The blue one was a surprise gift fro my boyfriend's Mum, her favourite colour is blue.

Any comments are appreciated as ever!

6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Beach comber bracelet and earrings on: March 16, 2008 01:43:58 AM
I don't know what's happened I'm suddenly able to make things for myself! I think I'm avoiding writing essays to be honest but at least I'm getting jewellery out of it! I had an image of this bracelet in my head and I'm so pleased at how it turned out. I wanted it to look like I'd just picked a load of stuff up on the beach and thrown it on a bracelet....anyway enough blurb!!

Thanks for looking! Comments are always very very very welcome!

7  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Finally made something for myself!! on: March 14, 2008 10:22:54 AM
I'm almost in shock that I have eventually managed to make a couple of items for myself and not have them stolen by my family and friends almost immediately!! They are both just memory bracelets but I think they're quite pretty, have a look and see what you think.....

And that's all for now! Thanks for looking and comments/criticisms are always welcome!

8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Sea foam set ... on: February 16, 2008 02:19:26 PM
... so called because the colours remind me of breaking waves. I've created this bracelet and earring set for a friend for her birthday later this month, I don't see her very often so we send each other gifts for birthdays and christmas etc. I'm really hoping that she likes this one!! Anyway, onto the pics!

Sorry about the poor light in this pic!! Forgot to take a pic of these before it got dark!! Ooops! The colours are actually as bright as the ones on the bracelet pics.

Thanks for looking!! As ever I'd love to hear your feedback good, bad, inbetween it's all good!!

9  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / My first star book.....(pic plump!) on: January 31, 2008 03:25:35 AM
Thanks to all of you wonderful craftsters I got the idea to make a star book for my boyfriend for Valentines so I thought I'd share the fruits of my labour!! Each page has one letter as it's inspiration and they spell out i love you through the book and each theme means something to me and my boyfriend, like yellow is his fave colour etc, oh well you'll see, don't think my explanation is going very well....onto the pics!!

And this is inside the "open me up", it's me!!

It's not so good at opening up to look like a star because all the pages are a little heavy but I still like it. What do you think?? I'd love to hear your comments.

Thanks for looking,

10  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / A few more of my creations....(pics galore!) on: January 31, 2008 03:18:06 AM
OK so I've raided my Mum's room to take picks of all the things I've made her to post one here but ssshhhh don't tell her!  Cheesy

I made these blue and green necklaces fro her when I first started making jewellery so they're a little basic but I like the beads on them.

I made this bookmark as a bit of an experiement and because I had loads of red beads that I couldn't think of another use for!

These earrings were one of my first attempts at earrings a while ago.

And this set is my fave on this post, it's a red-ish lariat and matching earrings that I made for my Mum, she wears it loads!!

And a closer view of the earrings

Thanks for looking, hope you liked, feel free to comment I'd love to hear what you think.
