"Les filles aux yeux creux, de leur corps amoureuses,
Caressent les fruits mrs de leur nubilit"
                                                - Charles Baudelaire

Hey there guys!

Here's a picture of my latest oil painting, which is done on a 16'' x 20" canvas.

Two big thumbs up for my models; I tried my best, but there's no way in hell I could do justice to the heavy sensuality that filled the room at that moment. At least I feel like I captured the intimacy between the girls satisfyingly.

Hey there! I thought I'd post a few scans I have of drawings from my favorite sketchbook (for the moment!), which is leather bound and 8.5'' x 11''.

All of these are done with graphite, usually 2B, but with some 6B thrown in for good measure now and then.

This one's a banker type character I ended up with without thinking much.

Last but not least, my lover putting on a blindfold.

I'll probably adapt a few of those to canvas (it's been a while since last time I used my oils!), we'll see!

I hope you like them!

I recently painted myself a Cthulhu face. He's all oils on a 16'' x 16'' canvas. Done in 4 sittings.

If you like him and would like to see progress pictures and read about my painting process, I covered all that here: http://darkartifacts.blogspot.ca/2013/02/breakdown-of-oil-painting.html

Knickertwist: I'd say both, while I base myself on models for the general proportions and to help myself with the pose, I tweak and extrapolate certain features for my tastes.

While I'm a big fan of live model drawing and have a few friends who pose for me, for my paintings, I prefer to refer to pictures, and use bits & parts both from memory and from different models to build up the final picture.

Sweety: at the beginning, I was supposed to paint my whole body, but I realized I didn't have room to fit my whole legs on the sheet. So I chopped them off!

I'm glad you guys like them! thanks for your comments!
