191  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Fabric flowers on: February 16, 2008 08:16:08 PM
A really, really simple flower you can make with scrap fabric.
I'm going to try to desribe this the best way I can..
Layer some fabric over one another so that you can cut many at once.
Once you have that set up, cut long ovals. Kinda like this (    ) Next, sew through the half way point in between the oval and make it ruffle/pleat so that it looks like two petals. Do that to three of them and then sew together through the same middle point and attach to your garment!
This will give you a daisy.
Or you can sew a rose by taking a long strip of scrap fabric and roll it up long ways (the opposite way of rolling a joint) and while pinching the bottom as you rool. Sew the bottom you pinched and you have a rose!

Ok first of all...I feel retarded. I'm fairly new to this web site so I have no clue how to do anything.
I have absolutely no clue how to post a topic so I'm sorry for "posting" something here.
Does anyone have a pattern or know where to get a pattern for a men's sweater? I can only find really repulsive sweaters from like the 60's.
The thing is my fiance really wanted me to make him a sweater, like a cardigan sweater with buttons and pockets...
I can only find really queer, ugly ones like I said.
HELP, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well a very inexpensive but thoughtful and charming idea for fake flowers would be to crochet some flowers. They're really quick and easy to do so you could just lay them on the table as if they were petals. But I guess the whole thing to this idea is, do you crochet? lol
Congratulations by the way!

I love it!! Even though some parts are sticking out I think that makes it even more curious and charming! It kinda looks like it was meant to look like that!
