11  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / King Tutankhamun on: March 25, 2010 10:13:02 AM
I was inspired to start making dolls after looking at Zosomoto's dolls. I love their creepiness and cuteness! Each one of hers are hand sewn with vintage button eyes! Check them out.http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=99816;sa=showTopics
After viewing these lovelies I wanted to start making my own. I've always leaned toward the dark side and have a affinity for creepy things. Tim Burton especially inspires me. Anyways, the first doll I made was not so post worthy so here's the second doll I made. All handstitched and then I wrapped the gauze (hand dyed) around his scrawny figure. I named him King Tutankhamun or King Tut for short of course!
On with the pics...

I intend to make his little organs and put them in a jar next to him eventually!
What do you think?
I'd especially love comments and criticism from zosomoto.
12  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: A Week of Baby Onesies Swap Round 4 (send-outs 4/19) on: March 25, 2010 09:58:04 AM
I recently was inspired by this swap topic to decorate some onesies for a friends baby shower. I wasn't sure where else to post this so I thought you craftsters in this topic would appreciate these pics!
I drew this Cat in the Hat:

I cut this out from a boys Paul Frank t-shirt and embroidered it on:

This was also cut out from a shirt. It's supposed to be a giant wedge of cheese and on the back it says "I'm the big cheese." If you could see it better I embroidered yellow stitching around the cheese , navy blue around the sunglasses, and baby blue around the edge.

The next two are from boys Transformers underwear. One glows in the dark as well!
I took the elastic band from the leg holes and made it into a collar around the onesie!
Barricade

Ratchet

Hope you like! Thanks for looking!
13  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: seedbead earrings and dreamcatcher earrings on: March 17, 2010 10:38:37 AM
I especially like the pair in the last photo, where the little indian girls dress is all strands of beads... It looks so flowy! Very lovely job!
14  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: Reconstructed Wal*mart Tote to Small Animal Carry Bag on: March 15, 2010 07:44:34 PM
OMG! That is amazing!
I need to make one myself because the tote I have for my ferret is looks like and is about the size of a mail box. Know what I'm talking about?

15  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Zombie Minnie Mouse on: March 10, 2010 11:08:45 AM
[/glow]I was so excited to see you made another one! I adore your dolls! I always look forward to seeing new ones. You've inspired me to try to make some "creepie dolls" myself!
So far I've done one, I'll be posting pictures very soon!
16  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: A Week of Baby Onesies Swap Round 4 (sign-ups 3/5 - 3/19, send-outs 4/19) on: March 05, 2010 11:49:15 AM
I would be lying to myself if I said I that I don't want to do this!!!! I think that all the shirts from the galleries are just adorable and whimsical! Thing is, I don't have kids so I would be using my niece, Kaiya, as the lucky beneficiary.
I just loves kids so much and love making children inspired things.
After I find out all the info on Kaiya (weight, etc.) I will sign up!
17  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Forest Friends swap-spring edition? on: March 04, 2010 06:34:37 PM

18  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Hulk Hogan birthday card on: March 04, 2010 05:30:36 PM
This is probably one of the best ideas ever.
Thanks!! I just wish I still had a picture of him with the shirt open!
19  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Hulk Hogan birthday card on: March 04, 2010 05:23:36 PM
A long time ago I made a Hulk Hogan birthday card for my brother's birthday.
He loves wrestling so it was very appropriate! I made it so that Hulk could open his shirt with his arms and "tear" it to reveal the message on his chest!

Hogan knows best...

A looksy from behind...

My happy brother as a size reference.
20  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / not your average papier mache on: March 04, 2010 05:12:53 PM
During my senior year in highschool, my art class had to do papier mache masks. Everyone seemed to be making characters or mardi gras masks; I've always been one who likes to stand out. When my teacher saw this, her face started to mimic and she gave me a disgruntled look. She questioned my point and I told her that "I wasn't going for boring!" I got an A and she said I proved my point.
What 'cha think?

"You don't look so good....."

Close up.... I had so much fun creating the texture in the puke!!!

Being misunderstood is a trait I share with Howard Stern and many other creative persons.
