and kartiana, i've made book covers out of  cardboard and foamcore, i've also used the paper from beer cases, but that wasn't all that sturdy...personally i would prefer something like foamcore to cardboard, cuz it's less likely to bend...but, you can use leather or fabric if you want to make a soft wraparound sorta cover...just some ideas..., also plexiglass works for a hard cover.

ok thanks, I don't know what foamcore is though.... but I am planing on covering it with something magnificent (don't want to give it away) so as long as the cover is sturdy it will work and I can make it look good.

Oh noes!!! Shocked I might not get to go shopping tomorrow Like I was hoping so I might have to try making a journal after all! Any helpful advise for using common household items to make a journal would be helpful! Can I make the cover from cardboard? If I absolutely need to buy supplies it will likely be at Rite Aid or Albertsons (not a craft store) so any advise would be greatly appreciated! I am going to be going through all the tutorials you guys posted in hopes of being able to pull this off! **crosses fingers** At least I have a super awesome idea for what to do for decorating it!

I just found some paper that I was going to use in my wedding but never did... Its perfect for the idea I have and I'm going to use some to decorate the journal for Jennickell! Hooray for finding things!
