11  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects / Topsy Turvy Man on: July 15, 2011 10:14:34 AM
I bought some ground cover to plant on a ditch that runs across the front of my yard. But it has been so hot, I just couldn't dig up the area and plant it. But I had to do something with it. I was determined to keep it alive.

So this is what I did.
12  SEWING IN GENERAL / Machine Embroidery: Completed Projects / An Apron For A Friend on: May 16, 2011 07:00:01 PM
I embroidered on this store bought apron and then brought up the bottom to form 2 pockets. I made this for a woman that is tiny and wanted one to wear when she has her yard sales. I think it turned out okay. CC appreciated.

14  SEWING IN GENERAL / Machine Embroidery: Discussion and Questions / Help! Has anyone worked with PE-Design 7? on: January 13, 2011 06:55:33 PM
Hi Crafsters,
I have had my Brother PR-600II for a couple years now and I haven't done enough to say so. But this year I AM GOING TO!!

My digitizing soft wear is PE-Design ver. 7. My biggest problem right now is when I purchase a design & download it, all the colors go nuts. I can not figure out what to do to stop this.

Have any of you had this problem? Were you able to fix it.

Once I figure this out, or just put it to rest, I want to start working with my designing software.  If anyone out there can help I sure would appreciate it.

I made this as a prank for my nephew's 30th B-Day. It was a surprise and his reaction was hilarious! As Alvin entered the room, we had on the CD of Alvin singing "We are family"

I couldn't find the right fur. So I settles with 9 x 12 pieces of long hair craft fur. And I had to give it a hair cut.

Thanks for looking. C&C are welcome
17  COOKING / Dessert / My First (maybe my last) wedding cake on: October 12, 2009 12:56:33 PM
It was an honor for me when my nephew to ask me to make the cake for his wedding reception. I thought maybe 30 guests. Well, they well exceeded that number. I have never made a tier cake, I make cakes for the kids for their birthdays. Any way this was my first try so please take that into consideration when you comment.

The photographer took out the background to show off the cake more.

Thanks for looking!
18  COOKING / Dessert / I need a recipe for Ice cream cake frosting! on: October 09, 2009 02:48:18 PM
Does anyone have a recipe for the frosting used on an ice cream cake (like Dairy Queen makes)?

If so, would you please send me a copy of it?

Thanks so much!
19  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / 99 cent Flower Girl Dress on: September 29, 2009 08:31:52 PM

20  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Can anyone interpret this fabric? on: September 18, 2009 03:09:02 PM
A friend cleaned out her sewing room and gave me a lot of fabric. I want to make her an apron for Christmas and do not want to offend her in any way.

Here is the problem, I have no idea what language this lettering is, what end is up or what it says.  If you can answer any of these questions, please do.

Thanks so much
