21  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: A few of the Shower Caps I made for Christmas Gifts on: November 26, 2011 06:39:48 AM
Glad you like them.

I started with silky fabrics (suite Lining and such) for the outside then used ripstop (I originally used for making wind dancers) for the lining. I used these items because I had them on hand. But have since then used all kinds of stuff. From shears to shower curtains.  If you need any more info, just let me know.

I had planned to put a plant in it like I did on this tower. But, my 21 year old nephew came by & loved it. So it is gone.

I am always hunting for something to give as gifts to the young ladies in my family. I know gift cards are always an option but not very personal. So this year I am making shower caps and putting them together with bath or nail supplies and attaching a gift card to their favorite restaurant or store. Hope they like them.

I don't seem to be improving much but the kids like it and I have fun with it.

One note.. plan to only fill the pots 1/2 way. If you fill them any fuller you will have the soil washing out.

These are very easy and I plan to paint some pots to create more next summer.

I ran a piece of rebar in the ground then stacked the flower pots on it. I used the dirt to keep them in place.

It didn't stick at all. I glued it on after it was baked.
