11  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / This is #6 on: January 19, 2012 09:06:24 AM
I painted this last night. I know it has a lot of room for improvement, but I enjoyed it. Does anyone know why my photo goes landscape when I post it, even tho I rotated it in my photo software?

Go figure it stayed upright! Anyone know why it sometimes goes landscape?Huh?

Yes I did paint the landscape in a day, in fact I painted it in a few hours. Thanks to all for all the compliments and encouragement.

While shopping at the Dollar Store, I found scubbies with stuffed animals attached. I agree, they are too cute.

Well, I am done and still 3 days til Christmas!! I took the shower caps I made to make the holder, then added things like hand soap, bath jell, manicure sets, body spray (which are items I picked up on sale and with coupons) tied them with ribbon and stuck in a scrubby.  I will wrap them in cello before I give them as a gift. I hope the girls like them.

Comments welcome.

I am not an artist but I have always wished I could paint. I took my first painting class to day and this is what I came home with. I have a way to go, but it sure was fun.

As you can tell, my photography isn't professional either.
20  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / I went a little over board with these shower caps. on: December 04, 2011 06:24:05 PM
I have been making shower caps for Christmas. I kept seeing more and more fabric that I thought would make a pretty cap. Now I have 9 or 10 completely made, 11 to add elastic to and 5 to sew up.  Since I only needed 5 for gifts, I think I better finish what I have started and quit.

This is how I am packaging the caps for Christmas Gifts. I place a small cardboard circle in the bottom of the cap, added some toiletries then tied it up with ribbon. I will wrap completely with Cellophane and tie it up with a bow.
