1  Stealth's new PJs in Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects by zen_crafter on: September 06, 2010 07:47:36 PM
I made these last night-now I know that it is September and not too cold right now but soon...it will be in the middle of winter.  And well, Stealth is an Italian Greyhound and does not have too much fur, or fat to keep him warm.  Hence, the fleece jammies for Stealth to wear anytime he wants.  He doesn't like it when you first put it on him, but he quickly warms up to the idea when he is, well warm.

This is a Simplicity pattern, #3939 view B

And a cute little butt shot!  lol

3  Baby Dragon Hoodie in Knitting: Completed Projects by zen_crafter on: May 16, 2010 04:57:32 PM
I completed this a while back but have now gotten around to posting.  This is for my friends who are about ready to have their first child-a boy!  So I figured I better start this as soon as I could-luckily I finished before he was even born!  lol

This is such a cool little hoodie-I've even had some friends ask for adult sized ones!

And here's a little newborn open cardigan and hat for little Kian when he arrives!

Sorry it's taken me so long to upload my photos, I received on Thursday and LOVE everything!!!!

So without delay...

Here's the whole package

There's 2 dog toys (bone and doxie shaped), pillow "keep calm and love doxies," 2 placemats (one with a cut out of a doxie and one with paw prints), a handmade dog treat cookbook, a bone-shaped tin with some treats inside, a denim plastic bag holder with a pocket for hand santizer wipes, a dog pez dispenser, a neat doxie card, and a neat thing called dog grass-I think you just plant it and it grows either grass or flowers-it will be fun to see what happens!!!

Closeup of the cute little doxie toy-but I just can't bare to have the dogs tear it up!!

Maggie chewing on the toy bone

And Stealth (acting like a typical kid) is more interested in the packaging rather than the stuff inside!!  Smiley

And a closeup of the card, sorry it's sideways

Overall I love everything!!!

Thanks for everything Ophelisilily!!

I love the music quilt!!!   That is awesome!

Ok, so I found my cable and am now able to post the photos of my awesome quilt.

She choose my nature/tree theme.  The colors are perfect!!

(Maggie just had to get in the shot!!   Smiley  )

Closeup of the leaves and one of the birds-it has a crystal for the eye!!

And I just could not post this without showing the awesome label she made.  I believe it's from an embroidery machine and it is just way too cool!!!   Grin Grin

Yay!!  I love it all and couldn't have asked for more!  Thanks so much Lique!!!!!  I really hope you enjoy your quilt as much as I do mine!!   Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

7  Reversible Halloween Bags in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by zen_crafter on: September 29, 2009 04:25:22 PM
I think this is so cool!  I used regular placemats and lined them with scrap fabrics from around my craft room.

They're cheap and inexpensible which makes them great for different holidays....you could almost make one for every week!!    Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy   (hmm....)

I didn't add any sort of pockets or extra divisions that I normally add for my "everyday" purses-but since this is seasonal I figured I wouldn't use the purse long enough.  Besides it just adds more bulk to the purse, and more space for me to stuff receipts, pens, chapstick, etc. that would eventually stay forever in that purse because I hardly ever clean out my purses!!

Anyways, on to the purses!!

Outside of one, I bought one placemat and one kitchen towel...even though they were the same stiffness, and the kitchen towel was bigger.

Inside of purse #2-the kitchen towel

Thanks for looking!!

C & C also welcome!    Grin Grin Grin

Edit

I forgot to add this when I first posted these awesome bags-but I received my inspiration from a couple of posts from right here on craftster!  I wish I could remember the member/post I received my inspiration but I'm sure if you check the tute page or scroll through a couple of the pages you will see the original post.

Thanks again, and I'm sorry about forgetting to mention my inspiration.  Thank you craftster, you are my muse!!   Cheesy

8  Mermaid Wallhanging-sorta art quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by zen_crafter on: September 14, 2009 02:58:54 PM
So this was a piece that I created for the Mermaid swap recently and since my partner has received and posted the pictures that I would share the wall-hanging since I was so darn tootin' proud of it!

I wanted to keep it-but knew I had to give something to my partner!!!   Grin

Closeup of the center-which was handpainted by me with craft acrylic paint.  It's permanent and does not need to be heat-set.  It's a nice medium because it allows for fine detail-but since I have been playing around with the paint for about 6-7 years, it's great!

Hope you all enjoy!!

9  Re: Mermaid swap in The Swap Gallery by zen_crafter on: September 14, 2009 02:08:46 PM
I received my package on Saturday but was so busy helping some friends move that I didn't even notice it till I got home Sunday night!!  Goodness gracious!  So sorry for the delay but without further ado...

I LOVE everything I got.  I was so spoiled!!

A shot of everything I received

A closeup of the purse that polkadotts made-which I LOVE and have received so many compliments on so far

Note: I did not take the awesome jumbo paperclips off the purse before I took the picture so that's what is on top of the picture.

A closeup of the decorated martini glass, a fish shell pendent, and shell beads (which I can't wait to make into an awesome necklace!)

The incredible "fluffy" mermaid that was hand-made by polkadotts!!  I love the hair, it has great colors and feels amazing!

There's a calendar (which I didn't get a closeup of) and some other fabric she have given me and can't wait to use!!

I got so many incredible gifts!!!  It was an awesome first swap and can't wait to do more!!!!

10  Lonestar Wedding Quilt-lots of photos!! in Quilting: Completed Projects by zen_crafter on: August 31, 2009 04:17:47 PM
This is my most recent quilt-a lonestar pattern with different colors.  I know the bride doesn't like the color blue-and that's my favorite color, so it was a small challenge to not incorporate blue of any sorts.  But, I really liked how it turned out and really have grown to be quite attached to it.  But alas, another quilt not for myself...one of these days I will make one for myself.

So-on to the pictures!!

Me holding the final product!

The front and the back complete

Already being put to good use by Maggie!!

The complete backing that shows the quilting-really simple, it was a $3.00 flat sheet from wal-mart and simple lines (one of these days I'll venture into more decorative stitching but for now, stitch-in-the-ditch and straight lines work just fine!)

A close-up of some of the fabrics

An early photo of the piecing stage...I really just didn't want this photo to be displayed on the main page!!   Grin

C & C always welcomed and encouraged!!   Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Have a wonderful day!! Cool
