1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Dexter Anniversary Gift on: August 30, 2011 06:46:12 PM
This ended up being an anniversary gift to my husband, which it originally wasn't going to be one for our anniversary. However I knew it would get completed before his other gift (which will now be a birthday one). We are both fans of the show Dexter. I purchased the pattern on etsy and mostly worked on it the past few days. He enjoyed it although the next gift will be one for him to put up at his office at work. Sorry a shadow is in the picture.

2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Counted Cross Stitch Compact Mirror on: August 16, 2011 06:53:23 PM
I made this mirror for one of my Grandmother's belated birthdays. I just gave it to her over the weekend and she really liked it.

3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Purse for Grandmothers Birthday on: August 09, 2011 03:02:51 PM
Here is a picture of a purse that I made for one of my upcoming 82 grandma's birthday. I made it small so she could finds things easier, this way she can put it in her big purse.

4  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Works in Progress on: August 07, 2011 09:53:31 AM
Currently how many WIP (works in progress) do you have going? Currently I have four cross stitch projects going and another two which I need to start. I thought this might also help keeping us motivated to get our projects done. Here are the pics of three of mine so far;

5  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Baby Quilt for Tornado Victims on: June 27, 2011 08:43:48 PM
My guild was taking quilts to be sent to the tornado victims in Alabama and Missouri. I made this baby quilt in 30's fabric. Hopefully some baby will enjoy it.

6  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Cross Stitch Bookmark for Charity on: June 02, 2011 02:02:43 PM
This is my first completed project for a cross stitch charity group. This will be given to a senior citizen who is in a nursing home or living assisted facility. I have been told that they really enjoy the bookmarks. So I hope that one of them enjoys this one. The next bookmark I am making is for kids for the charity, and it is a winnie the pooh themed one.

7  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Quilting Cross Stitch Bookmark on: May 28, 2011 08:27:40 PM
I made this for a swap and hope the person enjoys it. They are a avid reader and quilter.

8  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Frame/Hoop on: May 05, 2011 12:09:26 PM
What do you find works for you? I have very small hand held hoop frame, but wanting a bigger one. I do not want one that I need to hold or takes up a lot of room. I do have a floor quilting frame (which is not too big, it is a no baste one) but wondering if it would be ok to use for cross stitching. What do you all suggest?

Thanks!

Valerie
9  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / First Counted Cross Stitch project on: May 05, 2011 11:23:13 AM
I have normally done either stamped embroidery or stamped cross stitch. This is my first completed counted cross stitch project. I think it came out pretty good, although I did make a few mistakes which is only natural.  Smiley

10  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Elm Creek Quilts Slyvia's Bridal Sampler Quilt BOM on: October 17, 2009 01:58:12 PM
I thought I would spread the news that at the Stitchin Heaven Quilt Shop if you look under the BOM they are starting the Sylvia's Bridal Sampler Quilt next month. I have signed up, not sure if I will put all of my blocks into one quilt as it is 87x115 so I might either make it into smaller quilts or even smaller projects. Here is a link of it from their website, along with what the quilt will look like;
