21  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Naruto poppet on: September 05, 2008 01:36:29 PM
I made a Naruto poppet for the POC swap.  I had no idea who Naruto was before, but I definately do now.  My nephew had to tell me how to say his name Smiley
This was the first boy poppet that I've made, but I didn't give him any boy bits. I had fun making him, so I hope you enjoy looking at him.

22  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Hand embroidered puppy dish towels with crayon tinting on: August 22, 2008 10:33:58 AM
I haven't embroidered for a long time, but I came across this Aunt Martha transfer when I was looking for things to make for a Dog swap.  I just fell in love with them, so I made two for the swap and two for my family.

23  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / My first painted chair on: August 20, 2008 09:45:16 AM
I saved a chair from the dumpster about two years ago.  It was in good condition except for the fact that it was covered in flaking red paint.  I finally got around to painting it last week.  I didn't have a plan, so I just painted whatever came to mind.

Sorry some of the pictures are blurry.  I hope you enjoy them anyway Smiley

24  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Bare Naked Granola recipe on: June 26, 2008 10:16:33 AM
Does anyone have a recipe to make soft baked granola similiar to the Bare Naked brand?  I am sort of obsessed with theirs, but it is a littl pricy for me.  I've made granola, but it is always much crunchier than theirs.  Thanks!
25  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / The Amazing Miss Kitty Poppet! on: June 22, 2008 12:07:25 PM
Meet the Amazing Miss Kitty.  She was made for the I love my poppet round 2 swap.  She is based on a character created by my lovely swap partner, jpoparock.
This was the first time that I have used craftewoman's elenore patter and the first time that I have painted a mouth on a poppet.  She was a lot of fun to make.  You can see her in her new home here

Showing off her crocheted tail.

Hanging out with her pet kitty.

26  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Fluffy Kitten on: June 21, 2008 05:28:56 PM
I made this kitten for the Latest poppet swap.  Since she received today (yay!)  I can finally give him his own post.  This was my second attempt at brushed crochet.  I used this great tutorial (Thanks to Wibit too)...http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=247873.0

Hope you like him.
27  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / A pretty purpley poppet on a porch on: May 16, 2008 04:54:51 PM
Excuse the alliteration.  It took a little while for my photos to load, so I had time to think that up  Cheesy

This is my newest poppet.  She took me forever to finish, but she is really just a simple poppet.  My other niece is turning five in June and she really likes pink and purple.

I hope you enjoy her Smiley
28  COOKING / Dessert / chocolate pirate cake on: April 12, 2008 08:01:27 AM
This is my first post on the cooking board!  I wanted to show off the cake I made for my youngest son's 4th birthday.  It isn't fantastic, but it was fun and simple to do.

My inspiration Smiley
29  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / 2nd slouchy hat using Dexterchikk's pattern on: March 27, 2008 09:46:41 AM
I made another one!  This one is cotton also, and again I used half double instead of single crochet for the band.

Thanks for looking!

I had to make a slight correction to it, so I added a new picture.
30  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / L.A.M.B inspired slouchy hat **I had to make a change to it** on: March 22, 2008 09:01:24 AM
I came across this post http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=100020.0
and really wanted this hat.  I used Dexterchickk's pattern, but I used half double instead of single crochet, and I switched to a G hook when I started the half double.

I think I'll make another with blues and browns.  It is very comfortable even if my son thinks it is a silly hat.

I realized that I had reversed my stitches at some point when I made this hat, so I fixed it.
Here it is with all my stitches going in the same direction:
