I actually used the same hair on her that I used on my very first poppet.  I crocheted her top and sewed her some corduroy pants using craftewoman's pattern. 

One of my nieces really enjoyed playing with a box turtle that my mom found on the road this summer so I decided to make a stuffed turtle for her for Christmas.  I used a pattern from Roxycraft.  (The original turtle was released into the wild a safe distance away from the road.) 

Here are three more Christmas presents I made my son a pirate doll and two boys in pajamas for my nephews.  I use an etsy pattern for all three. 

Amber555 posted a great pattern for Bone awhile back and I bookmarked it because I knew my son would love him.  It is a great pattern and it worked up really nicely.  Thank you for sharing!

I had to justify my etsy pattern purchase by making another pixie This one was for my niece and it made her really happy.  That thrills me because I was cursing starting it as I hurried to finish it on Christmas eve.  This one turned out a lot smaller than my first.  I'm assuming that is because I used Caron simply soft on this one and red heart on the first one I made.  The eyes look huge on her! 

After my sister-in-law admired the aminekos (crocheted cats) I'd made for my boys, I knew what I was making my nephew for Christmas.  I decided to make this one striped.


My nephew seemed to like him and it certainly made his mom and dad smile. 

I came across an adorable mushroom pattern while I was browsing pimpstitch and I had to whip up a couple.  I didn't make the bottom correctly on my first one so I turned it into an ornament.  I made a second one for my mil.  It was really cute, but I didn't get pictures.  I'll try to get one when we visit again. Finally, I made on for me, but I made it a tree house instead of a mushroom.

I made a couple of early Christmas gifts for my husband's cousin's grandaughters.  I used the John pattern from the the bit of whimsy shop on etsy and just tweaked it to make a couple of little girls.  I've made a few little John's from the pattern too, but they are not ready for a photo op yet.

After seeing sewhappysue's adorable pixie http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=275158.0   I had visions of pixies hiding under the Christmas trees of my little nieces this year.
I had to rush off to etsy to buy the pattern because I couldn't for the life of me figure out how the creator of the pattern had made the hands and feet in one piece. 
This first pixie was supposed to be for a niece, but I made a few mistakes here and there due to my learning curve, so I'll keep this one and I'll have fun making another one to give away.  Hope you like her.

I don't think Yoda has ever been this cute before!  I used Odd Dotty's Itty bitty oddity tutorial to create this little guy for a swap.  He is going to a great home, so I am going to have to make one for myself now because I miss him
