21  Re: Children's Ongoing Wish Swap Round 6 (COWS 6) Gallery in The Swap Gallery by teachingjonah on: February 15, 2009 02:05:47 PM
I received a great package from brilor yesterday, but I'm having some trouble uploading photo's today.  I'll try again later, but, brilor, if you have pictures please feel free to post.  Thanks again.  The boys and I are very happy with the scarves, and the bags were just an awesome surprise.

I got the pics to load.

I'm going to go ahead and post pics of what I sent catrinau.  She has received, but has family matters to attend to right now.
The whole package:Including a red dragon, itty bitty yoda and Boots from Dora the explorer

The promised dragon for Nikko

I get to be the first to post Smiley  rlynn sent a fantabulos package for my boys.  She signed up to make them ispy bags which I thought was terrific, but she made so much more  Cheesy  She stenciled t-shirts and made "magical fizzy snowballs" for bathtime and included other toys and candy!  My boys are so happy and so am I.
Excuse the picture of my boys, I think Milo is incapable of not looking ornery.

The boys have been happily entertained ever since we got sent home from school earlier today.   I just have to stop Milo from trying to open the ispy bag to get to all of the goodies inside  Cheesy  rlynn did such a great job of personalizing each bag to their tastes.

Today was a great day for me Smiley First, I got the lovely "snow day" phone call and then I received packages in the mail!  Two of the packages were for this swap, so here are my goodies.
First, some great handspun from Faren:

Second, my tea wallet and sandwich wrap from girlosun_9

Thanks to both of you!

25  It's a turtle! in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by teachingjonah on: December 26, 2008 09:32:36 AM
One of my nieces really enjoyed playing with a box turtle that my mom found on the road this summer so I decided to make a stuffed turtle for her for Christmas.  I used a pattern from Roxycraft.  (The original turtle was released into the wild a safe distance away from the road.)

26  Re: I can make that -- so I did. *Now with bunny-lovin' pics on PG 4* in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by teachingjonah on: December 26, 2008 09:27:17 AM
I have to add the bunny I made for my newest nephew to this thread.  Thanks for sharing this adorable pattern.

I love the scarfs made by summertimerolls too! I wish I'd thought to do that.

Amber555 posted a great pattern for Bone awhile back and I bookmarked it because I knew my son would love him.  It is a great pattern and it worked up really nicely.  Thank you for sharing!

29  A Pixie for Christmas in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by teachingjonah on: December 26, 2008 08:50:40 AM
I had to justify my etsy pattern purchase by making another pixie Smiley This one was for my niece and it made her really happy.  That thrills me because I was cursing starting it as I hurried to finish it on Christmas eve.  This one turned out a lot smaller than my first.  I'm assuming that is because I used Caron simply soft on this one and red heart on the first one I made.  The eyes look huge on her!

30  A striped Amineko in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by teachingjonah on: December 26, 2008 08:46:01 AM
After my sister-in-law admired the aminekos (crocheted cats) I'd made for my boys, I knew what I was making my nephew for Christmas.  I decided to make this one striped.

My nephew seemed to like him and it certainly made his mom and dad smile.
