This is so cute!  Did you use a pattern?  Just wondering about altering the pattern slightly for us *ahem* generously endowed ladies Smiley  Great work!

My mother in law is a Scrabble fiend so a couple of Christmas's ago we made something very similar to this but with pics of the grandkids, "Gramma",  and their names.  She loved it, wish I had taken some pics of it.  We also made her a name plate for her desk with the tiles and a tile holder and earrings with her initials, then alphabet magnets for her fridge with the leftover tiles.  Worked awesome!

I love that yours is kind of family treeish, very nice!

Awesome room!  I agree with the other posters to see past the pink and purpleness and revamp that bed if needed later, it is so cool!  Good job, can't wait to see the finished pics!

My kids are in bunk beds too and I was thinking that it would be fabulous to have one on each bed...time to go raid the fat quarter stash!  Awesome idea, it looks beautiful.  Hope it works to get you more sleep too!

Wow the girls have never looked better, especially the fabulous Ms. Aurthur!  This is just awesome, congrats on the tenacity and artistry it took to get this done!

Now I wish we got reruns of the Golden Girls, I haven't seen them in years. Cry

I saw curtain panels similar to this a couple of weeks ago at the local thrift shop and after a moments hesitation put them back.  Now I wish I hadn't!!  That is an awesome recon, very well done!

Thats a great tip about the pantyliner's, I'll be sure to try that.  We arre still waiting on a surgery date - my daughter has had a nasty cold for a week so can't go under anasthesia.   Really frusterating!  Meanwhile the dr is in contact with a few other surgeons that have recommended a slightly different surgery so she won't be in the cast for quite as long as we thought she would be!!   Grin

I have made some elastic waisted skirts for her, I'll be sure to post them at a later date Smiley, but since she doesn't have a surgery date I brought out some jammy fabric and made a couple of nighties that she can wear (hopefully) with the cast, and some two peicers for my son as well.

Thanks again for all of the tips!  I have wanted to make a dress out of a man's shirt ever since I saw that post but since she is a tall 6 year old I would need to find a much bigger shirt than my hubby has!

Wow Jennifer, that helps soo much!  I'm not looking forward to the next couple of months.  I started making outfits for her the other day, took all of her measurements then stopped and thought - wait I have no idea what her waist is going to be!   ???But it sounds like I will be able to whip some skirts up for her quite quickly.  Hope all is going well for you and your daughter and thanks again!

Thanks to everyone who posted, you guys really are the best!

I need your help!

My darling 6 year old daughter is having hip surgery in a month and will be in a Spica cast for 6 weeks.  I need ideas for dresses and skirts that she can wear.  They must be simple, pull over dresses or elastic waist skirts.  You all make such great outfits for your kids, I really hope you can help me!!!

Thanks in advance!
