1  First ever recon - and first topic too! in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by shecrafty on: February 03, 2009 06:11:14 PM
I got this skirt at a bag sale at the local thrift store (when I walked in they gave me a garbage bag and said "$5 per bag, fill 'er up!"), it was a designer skirt in perfect condition but not my size.  I probably should have left it but I had this sudden vision of what it could be: a lovely summer dress for my 6 year old!  It sat for months but I finally got it out last night and this is what happened:



Sorry for the bad pic! Sad This was before pressing, it's not quite as wonky as the picture lets on- the hem is straight and the skirt isn't quite so lumpy.  I adore it and my daughter figured she should wear it to school today.  It was my first ever recon not to mention dress! so I think it turned out wonderful.  Thanks for inspiring me everyone!
