My teenage nieces are coming to visit next month and I think they'd really enjoy crafting their own jewelry.

I really like this! Did you follow a pattern or make it on your own? Also, that fabric is just awesome  Cheesy
314  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: Wrist Warmers / Fingerless Gloves Crochet-a-long on: January 20, 2008 09:24:42 PM
Thanks. I used Lily Sugar 'n Cream in the color Rosewood. Quite soft too for such an inexpensive yarn.

I decided to try out the pattern as a first project and was delighted as how easy it was and how well they turned out! They'll definitely make it easier to use a camera outside, as mittens are too bulky and get fuzz on my lenses Angry

They're a bit loose but overall fit nicely. Thanks for the idea!
316  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: Learn Along (First-ish Projects?) on: January 18, 2008 08:48:32 PM
I have a slightly stupid question. I've just picked up crochet again after about a 20yr haitus(and I'm only 29!) so getting back into the swing of things is a bit slow going. I picked an easy project to start, wrist warmers, which are basically a large square of hdc's and dc's that I need to fit together. Now, I can't really tell which side is the "right" side by looking at it, since they look the same to me. Does it really matter which side is out?
