1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Dying denim black? on: May 28, 2011 03:09:14 PM
Okay, so I found this vest at a thrift store.

I want to dye it black for a cosplay I'm working on. My question is: Do I need to bleach it first before I dye it? Or should I just throw two bottles of black RIT dye and let it sit all day? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
2  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: The Beginner's Top-Down Raglan (patt. incl.) on: October 15, 2009 12:53:07 AM
This sweater looks great and I'd really love to get started. I even bought some new needles for this.

I'm having a problem with the circular needles. I got the Takumi clover bamboo kind but plastic wires keep curling. So whenever I try to start, I end up having a problem with twisted stitches. Is there any way to fix this? Or is there a certain brand of needles that don't curl?

(sorry for the late/early in the morning post. I'm an insomniac ^^;; )

This is really lovely! I wonder...How long did this take you to complete?
4  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / how do you connect your granny squares? on: February 24, 2009 10:10:23 AM
I've been working on some squares for a little while. I plan to put them together for a nice blanket. My question is: How do you prefer to connect squares? I've heard of slip stitching them, sc-ing them, and a mattress stitch. I'm just wondering what method looks and holds together well.

I'd love to see the pattern if you have it.  Cheesy

You look so cute. You remind of the character, Nana Oosaki.

Great job on the skirt. It looks awesome.

I've been wanting to work on that pattern too.

It may take me a little while (I have pattern ADD > w <).
8  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Sell crochet? How much do you charge? on: June 23, 2008 02:49:31 PM
Just wondering how much the average crocheter sells their works for. I am thinking about selling a few blankets I'm working on and I was just wondering how some of you decide what to charge for certain works.

Wow! I really love that.

Is there any hope that you will post a pattern to this? I'd love to see it.

I love Sugar n Cream yarn too! I think it would be perfect for a pattern like that.

If you'd like a softer feel to your blanket, I also use a lot of Caron Simply Soft.
