1  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Classic X-Men Rogue on: August 19, 2010 11:33:36 AM
Well, it's been a while since I've posted on here...

I made this to wear to GenCon in Indy a few weeks ago. I wanted to make the "classic" version of Rogue that I remember from the 90's cartoon. I made the bodysuit, painted the boots and dyed the gloves, and I modified the wig. There are some things I would like to improve on, but I was in a crunch for time. Let me know what you think!

I found Wolverine!  Grin

Thanks for looking!
2  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Slave Leia on: August 19, 2009 12:35:32 PM
Well, I finally got it done! I wore my Slave Leia costume to GenCon Indy this past weekend, and it was a blast! I made everything but the shoes. All of the "metal" pieces are made from polymer clay, Premo and Bake and Bend Sculpey, then painted with acrylic gold paint and an antiquing medium. I'm planning on making the boots, once I find some (I wear a size 5, it can be hard to find decently priced ones sometimes). I also want to make the collar and chain eventually too, but I didn't want to wear those to the con, because I was afraid people would yank on the chain.

Enough of my babbling, on to the pics!

And some action shots. I must have had my picture taken at least a million times over the weekend!

Thanks for looking! Any comments are appreciated!
3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Pepper the Poppet on: September 13, 2008 06:39:33 AM
Here is my second poppet, Pepper. I did her hair differently than my first one, and I think I like it much better. I did it in a circle around her head, then two rows vertically down the middle, so I could put her hair in pigtails.

Here she is with her sister, Rainbow Sunshine

Let me know what you guys think!
4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / My first poppet, Rainbow Sunshine on: September 13, 2008 06:30:37 AM
This is my first ever poppet, Rainbow Sunshine. She is such a hippie, isn't she?

We took her to the forest, and she had a wonderful time frolicing with the faeries and gnomes.

I had so much fun making her. Her sister, Pepper, will soon be posted as well.

I have officially been bitten by the poppet bug!
