Ok, squire_inaria really outdid herself. I received not only one amazing poppet, but two!
Without further ado, I give you my lovely flapper poppet with her dashing gangster boyfriend.

Detail of her gorgeous headband.

His hat.

I am in love with her awesome fringed flapper dress!

Check out the detail on his suit!

I love them so much! Thank you so much squire_inaria, I couldn't have asked for more!

2  Classic X-Men Rogue in Costumes: Completed Projects by brunette_bombshell on: August 19, 2010 11:33:36 AM
Well, it's been a while since I've posted on here...

I made this to wear to GenCon in Indy a few weeks ago. I wanted to make the "classic" version of Rogue that I remember from the 90's cartoon. I made the bodysuit, painted the boots and dyed the gloves, and I modified the wig. There are some things I would like to improve on, but I was in a crunch for time. Let me know what you think!

I found Wolverine!  Grin

Thanks for looking!

Cute little faeries on a toadstool!

Some little extras and a sweet note. Her daughters made me some stuff too! So sweet!

Four - count them - four - beautiful crocheted scarves and an adorable clutch! Barbara, I have to know where you got those tags you put on the scarves, they are adorable!

The lining of the clutch!

5  Slave Leia in Costumes: Completed Projects by brunette_bombshell on: August 19, 2009 12:35:32 PM
Well, I finally got it done! I wore my Slave Leia costume to GenCon Indy this past weekend, and it was a blast! I made everything but the shoes. All of the "metal" pieces are made from polymer clay, Premo and Bake and Bend Sculpey, then painted with acrylic gold paint and an antiquing medium. I'm planning on making the boots, once I find some (I wear a size 5, it can be hard to find decently priced ones sometimes). I also want to make the collar and chain eventually too, but I didn't want to wear those to the con, because I was afraid people would yank on the chain.

Enough of my babbling, on to the pics!

And some action shots. I must have had my picture taken at least a million times over the weekend!

Thanks for looking! Any comments are appreciated!

Ok, here are the pics if some of the stuff I sent to rira. Rira, if you find your camera, could you please post pics of the rest? Sorry I don't have everything here.

A box I made out of the Twilight conversation heart box

A bunch of iron-on patches

The Cullen Crest tshirt

A Newborn vampire bracelet

A bunch of marble magnets

Here's some closeups of some of my faves:

Alice's bracelet

Edward's Eyes necklace and earrings

Again, sorry for the poor quality pics, I am still missing my normal camera. Rira, if you have better ones, feel free to post them. I know there were some other things I added. I think there was a lavender scented neck roll heating pad from Jasper, a keychain, and some other earrings.

I had so much fun with this swap that I couldn't stop crafting. Now I'm debating on whether or not to join rd. 7. I just said yesterday that I wasn't going to do any more swaps for a while, but I've said that before, so I guess we'll see.

Picture time! Here's the awesome stuff that rira sent me:

An awesome stenciled bag that I couldn't wait to use!

A really cool painted book box:

It was full of jewelry goodies!

And my favorite... a Forks High School sweatshirt!

Please excuse the dumb look on my face, and the crappy quality of the pics. I seem to have misplaced my camera, and I took the pics with my camcorder that apparantly takes horrible still pictures. Tongue

Thank you so much rira, I really do love everything.

I'm working on getting pics up of the package I sent to rira. Should be up soon!

Grin  Here is the most super awesome package I received from ScotSkipper402!

Man that was a lot of pictures. She totally spoiled me! There were more earrings, but I couldn't get a decent pic of the rest of them. I love absolutely everything, and I hope she likes everything I made her. This was such a fun swap, thanks!
