Basically, I'm in love with this.

But what sort of yarn would one use?

I've figured that I'd find a nicer doily pattern and use a phat hook and doubled yarn, but what kind? Something durable, and washable. And something that won't fuzz up.

Definately not in white. And I hear puffy paint is good for making things non-slip.

Mostly I wanted to show you the awesome. And hopefully get myself psyched up to make it.

So, I was looking through my Harmony Guide to knitting stitches and I found a neat looking cable and wrote a fingerless mitten pattern to whack them onto.

I think I did quite well for first time seriously cabling.

Excuse the horrendous pictures, I just finished them, it's nighttime, I'm a ninja. They get delivered to my friend Rachel tomorrow. I'll take a photo of her wearing them then. But for now these will have to do. Although, you can see the cables really well.

Yep, that's my msn display pic, and yes, I was wondering what song it was.

My friend Jimmy has a thing about angel wingalings.

So I crocheted him a pair of them and sewed them onto a T shirt.





Excuse the photos, they were taken with a webcam at night. You can't see the spirals, or the gold stitching.

I learned to crochet with my left hand for this!
