1  UNITED STATES / Georgia / The biggest flea markets with lots of vendors on: January 08, 2008 09:52:31 PM
Hi all, I am new to this site and I would like to know where the biggest flea markets with lots of vendors was in the united states?

I have been to the following flea markets that have alot of different vendors:

Bessemer, AL   Bessemer Flea Market
Limestone Flea Market around Athens, AL
Asheville, NC   Smiley's
Greer, SC    Barn Yard
Anderson/Belton, SC  Anderson Flea Market
Columbia/Lexington, SC   Barn Yard
Louisiville, KY
Paducah, KY
Somerset, KY

Now I am looking for a Flea Market that I could do good at selling my Native American Indian Bears that I make.

They are cute.  I Think.

I don't make the bears, but I dress them up for what ever tribe and hand bead all the detail work my self.

Alot of time and enjoyment go into making these bears.

I have 4 different ones I do:

A Chief with a Ceremonial Staff and Headdress
A Bow Hunter with a Hand made Bow, Arrows, and Quiver with a piece of fur for his kill
A Shaman Bear complete with a rattle that really rattles and a medicine pouch full of herbs, and spiritual totems.
A Warrior Bear complete with either/or (Both) Spear or Tomahawk.  With reall arrowheads for the tops.

I have not seen any like it.

I tried to upload the pictures here but they will not load.

I am new to this site, but I have a few wonderful flea markets that I have been too that have made me think about how they look.

One was Bessemer, AL....It looks really rough but the people that go there will spend their money..they are not the kind to haggle either.

Then there was Anderson, SC....It looks rough but the people that go there are nice and don't seem to mind spending money...Very nice people in the office and the vendors are helpful.

There again in South Carolina, but in Greer, Is a place called Barn yard....All under cover..very nice place..Nice Office Staff and Vendors.

Asheville, North Carolina....It's name is Smiley's...Did really good off of their tables outside...People there were ok.

Athens, Al...a nice flea market there....try and get inside..Just remember tho they do not have a/c, so bring a fan if it is in the summer.

Columbia, SC...Barn Yard is great....It is off US Hwy 1, off of I-26 Go towards Lexington....Did really well 2 weekends in a row.

Now I am looking for other great flea markets to go to.  They have to be big and busy.  Anyone have an idea of where I can go?  Has to be in the US.
