The top is beautiful! What did you think of the Cotlin yarn?

Landry it is fabulous! The BFC looks great in the Urchin and the buttons are perfect. You should submit it to Twinkle- I think you'll win the goody bag!

So purty, miss lulu.
It really is wonderful in white.

I traded my canary in for lavender to make the groovy sweater dress. Yay! I did think about using the Urchin again, since it's the best color in the world.

Chouettrix: That is is so sad. Shopatron should have alerted you to the additional charges.

If you want your money back (and no yarn), you can ask your credit card company to refuse payment and then send the yarn back to the company. You'd be without yarn, and you'd pay to ship it back, but then you'd have at least $50 back from that $62 you paid, and however much you paid for the yarn. Just a thought.

a groovy sweater in yellow makes me think of some kind of chick/bird costume

hee hee. I know it's true... Thanks for all the responses and saving me from the potential embarassment of being mistaken for a muppet/big bird. I'm going to try to exchange my canary today for another color, and if my lys won't let me or if I don't like the other colors she stocks, then I'll keep it to make the hoodie. I'm just itchin' to make the sweater dress!

Hi Twinklers! I just got back from a freezing week in New York, where I ended up wearing my ST every day, like this:

Twinkle knitting has been on my backburner lately for two reasons. First, because I fell in love with the minidress from the new Vogue. Second, because I keep hemming and hawing over what to do with my canary soft chunky. I have been having second thoughts about the color and am a little scared now of a great big chunky yellow sweater. Originally, I intended to use it for the hoodie, but now I'm thinking about the sweater dress. Either way, it's a whole lotta yellow. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Totally weird. I double stranded a light worsted to get gauge for my twiggy tunic, got gauge, but when the thing was all knit up, the weight of all the cotton made the whole thing stretch and sag, so in teh end, I didn't get gauge. If I were to do it again, I would look for something super light, either with lots of silk like the cruise or maybe even one of those synthetic tube yarns that feel like air.

crafty becky- thanks for link! I'm going to try that techinique!

buzybeebee- OOh can't wait to see the dress. That may be my next twinkle knit, but I have 6 skeins of canary, and I don't know if I'm ready to see a super bulky yellow dress on me.

so soon, You wont need to buy jumbo dpns if you use the magic loop technique, You can use your circular needle instead  Smiley

really? I thought I needed 2 pairs of circs for that? That would be super sweet!

Thanks for the tip hitbyabus. I'm assuming that projects must be knitted with Twinkle yarns in order to qualify for consideration. I'll give it a shot with my shopping tunic.

Landry, I love love the hat. Once I get some jumbo dpns, I'll make one with my Urchin leftovers.

Kokeshi: I am a terrible influence. So sorry to get you into trouble. My finished tunic measures 26" at the bust, which works out to 3" negative ease for my sad little 29" of booblessness. It is very stretchy and could easily accomodate a 32" bust with room to stretch more. Do it! Buy the book!
