21  my first attempt at a shirtdress in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by lorelei on: November 09, 2006 08:08:56 PM

I love the material and how it feels on me but I don't think it came out very flattering especially because of the color.  I'm not used to sewing without a pattern though I'm pretty proud of my first attempt.

22  painted belt in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by lorelei on: November 09, 2006 07:52:06 PM
I decorated my clear plastic belt with glass paints to make little flowers.  The great part is I can peel them off and redecorate the belt!  It reminds me of those old color form things.

23  the redesigned record label in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by lorelei on: November 09, 2006 07:39:23 PM
I ran into the problem of not being able to find cheap unneeded records  that would be to the liking of my friends.  The label was always important to me.

I discovered a solution by scanning cds into the computer and cropping the image into a perfect square.  Resize the image to exactly 2.5" and print the cd scan onto cardstock.  Cut it out and mod podge the cd onto the label.  You could actually use any image as long as you cut a circle with the correct diameter.

I don't have a photo of my best ones but heres the Spice World record bowl I made for my roomate.

24  roomate popart in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by lorelei on: November 09, 2006 07:24:24 PM
My roomates wanted to have popart decor for our dorm room.  The problem is there are 7 of us (8 if you count our mascot, the plastic penguin).  Therefore portrait painting all of them a month before school seemed unrealistic.  Fortuneatly being a New Media student, I came up with an amazing way to photoshop the image beforehand, transfer them, and paint cutting the job down to 3 hours for each.  I don't have  a full grid photo yet but here is two of the rectangles.

25  beetlejuice stencil in Stenciling: Completed Projects by lorelei on: November 09, 2006 07:03:08 PM
Here's a stencil I did last year (I know I'm slow but I've gone the last year without a digital camera as it was stolen and haven't gotten around to really getting into this forum.

The closeup is a little cracked as it has been worn daily for a year and suffered some damaged with washing and things since it's only acrylic.  I need to give it another coat.
