3  Dany Targaryen in Halloween Costumes by lorelei on: November 14, 2011 04:20:06 PM
I haven't gotten around to sharing my Dany Targaryen costume from Halloween yet.  I actually made it in the three hours before guests for our party started arriving and I'm quite pleased with the look considering I just cut pieces out by eyeing it and literally sewed myself into it!

The top is burlap and the rest is like this faux leather stuff I got downtown.  There are more photos here: http://adorningschemes.blogspot.com/2011/11/to-bakecreate-halloween-lorelai-style.html

4  Re: Zelda Swap Round 3 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by lorelei on: November 14, 2011 04:12:10 PM
Wizards_Pupil pulled through as my swap angel a while ago but the post office held the box for an extended period of time and finally made it to me!  Here are the goodies I got:

I kept the tissue paper in because it has the nintendo logo on it!  Where did you even find that?

- I got this lovely tote which now houses all my knitting and crocheting (the trinity symbol is on the back)
- A milk bottle
- A treasure chest tin that houses sewing needles and thread
- A dungeon key
- A tiny bottle pendant
- And finally, 4 zelda magnets which I have added to the corner of my bf's white board..he either hasn't noticed or doesn't care :p

Thanks so much!

I received my second package today from TheSapphireMoon! So many zippers and fabric and buttons for me to craft with.  The peacock fabric is my favorite. I can't wait to get started. Smiley

8  Speaker Herb Garden! in Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects by lorelei on: September 27, 2011 03:56:02 PM
My housemate and I have been on a crafting binge and I wanted to share our most recent project!

We gutted out two old speakers that the previous tenant left.

Next we planted an herb and tomato garden into the openings.  So far the plants are growing nicely and our dinners have gotten more delicious Smiley

9  Re: Embroidery Hoopla Rnd 6 Gallery!! (Send 9/12/11) in The Swap Gallery by lorelei on: September 23, 2011 04:01:23 PM
So after a crazy month of moving cross country, mother misplacing half my craft stuff while trying to send to me, & recovering from bronchitis, I am now situated in LA and picking up where I left off!  I'll be more and more active.  And now I must share my AMAZING hoopla which was the first thing to appear on my wall here Smiley  Songs4Drowning did her own adaptation of Sonic the Hedgehog for my love of video games and made this super cool skeleton hedgehog.  It's super cool AND educational!

Sorry to be so out of the loop with all of this but I stupidly decided to move cross country in the middle of three swaps and am feeling a bit scattered.  Here are the photos of the gorgeous box a received a few days ago!

Inside was this amazing compact mirror accompanied with a letter sealed with wax addressed to Daenerys Smiley
