1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Felted shoes (with inductive heating element) on: December 23, 2013 01:04:24 AM
I knitted a pair of felted shoes for my girlfriend:

I used size 12 needles and blue felt wool. After knitting i threw them in the washing machine with a few tennis balls to shrink them to the correct size!

As my girlfriend has always cold feet I added an inductive coil in the outsole, when she puts her feet on the small wooden platforms (which are connected to a power supply) the shoes are heated from the inside:-)
I've created a detailed explanation on how I created them on instructables.

Merry christmas everyone:-)
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Julekuler - knitted Christmas balls with your own design on it on: December 06, 2013 04:18:10 PM
You love knitting and don't know Julekuler yet? Then it's about time!
Arne & Carlos, two Scandinavian cult designers, originated the lovely knitted balls called Julekuler which are a great decoration for upcoming Christmas.

Besides, what could be a better gift than handcrafted Christmas balls with your personal design on them?
My girlfriend and me, we wanted to make it easy for everyone to design their own festive ornaments, so we created the Julekuler generator! The Julekuler generator is a free website where you can easily create personal patterns for Julekuler based on Arne & Carlos' idea. Check it out on http://julekuler.zitroneneis.org/

Here you can see a few Julekuler I made, some of them are my own design - hope you enjoy them. Have fun!
