21  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Bacon is dandy. (shamefully abundant photos) on: April 13, 2010 08:12:28 AM
I love this piece, but you already know that.  Wink It's quirky and funny but besides that, your stitching is perfection.

I've become convinced that there is nothing you can't do.

Well stitched, sir.  Grin

Awesome stitching, and that second one is hilarious. Smiley

Also, it's so exciting to see one of my patterns in the wild!  Grin

Awesome! Smiley

Thanks! Smiley

Another winner!  Again, I love the way you combine the vintage patterns and fonts with contemporary phrases.  It should be a non sequitor, but your choices make them fit together perfectly.  Also, those bunnies look like they're about to throw down.

It's a grudge match!
26  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Sam & Max cross stitch on: March 10, 2010 05:05:04 PM
Hi everybody! I made this for the Phat Quarter comic swap. Since I don't read any comics besides Sam & Max - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sam_&_Max - I decided to stitch up a quote from Max, the adorable homicidal bunny.

Hope you like it! Any comments are always appreciated. Smiley
27  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Nessie Diptych on: March 07, 2010 06:58:27 AM
I am the proud owner of this piece. Not only is it amazingly stitched and filled with a plethora of amazing little details, it arrived out of the blue from someone who obviously remembered that I have a penchant for lake monsters, especially Nessie. Smiley

TheMistressT, you are awesome. Smiley Thank you!
28  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Cross Stitch on: February 05, 2010 02:02:45 PM
This is based on one of my favorite parts of the book The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy:

But the plans were on display

On display? I eventually had to go down to the cellar to find them.

Thats the display department.

With a torch.

Ah, well the lights had probably gone.

So had the stairs.

But look, you found the notice didnt you?

Yes, said Arthur, yes I did. It was on display in the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying Beware of the Leopard.

It's hard to take a good picture because it's a big one - about 4,700 stitches on 22 count fabric.

I hope you like it. Smiley Any thoughts or comments are appreciated. Smiley

I have a thought...well, I guess more of a question. How are you so awesome?  Smiley
I love this, but you already know this because... yeah...what's not to love?!
Aw, thanks, Rachel! Smiley I think you're awesome, too. Smiley

This is at my house now and can I tell you how awesome it is in person. HOLY MACARONI!

OH MY!  Right here in my very own city?!  Don't be surprised if you find flowers and lit votives on your porch, Kittykill.

You can come over and touch it (that's what she said)

"Is this... lipstick?  On my Slap Chop cross stitch?  Oh, I'll get you MistressT, I'll get YOU!" [shakes fist]

I love you guys.  Cheesy

You have singlehandedly inspired me to learn cross stitch.  This is amazing and I salute you!  I can't stop staring at it.

That makes me ridiculously happy! Thank you so much! Cheesy
