81  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Orange Pleated Bag of Happiness on: January 07, 2008 07:56:26 PM
Bag of happiness- that is awesome Grin. And it is a bag of happiness! The pattern has a real retro feel that reminds me of Charlie and such happy shows from when I was (very very) small.

Everyone should have a bag of happiness.

Wow- the fabric is beautiful! I love the diamond pattern.

How did you find working with the snaps?
83  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / any punch embroiderers around? on: January 07, 2008 07:44:48 PM
Hi all,
I am new to the Craftster network, exploring one forum at a time- and thrilled to see some other ladies (and gents, I assume) that still do needlework.

I have recently started punch embroidery, and I am having so much fun! I am just wondering if there are others who do punch embroidery, and have some projects to share (I have seen a lot of traditional styles in my searches- lots of flower baskets, quite reminiscent of my grandmother.....).

I said the other day that I am tempted to leave my job behind and spend all day doing crafty things.
84  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / New and inspired on: January 06, 2008 08:47:36 PM
Hi all,
I am brand new here, and pretty much a novice in sewing. However, I have to say that I am sooo amazed by the incredible things that I have seen on this forum- wow and awesome. I have made a simple tote (lots of straight lines, and much like the jordy style), but this really inspires me to try new things.

How I wish that I could leave the day job- I just want to stay home and cut, pin & sew- and then maybe strut a bit.

I am awestruck with your creativity- and your ability to translate a card to a purse!
