1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / My first Black felt dragon on: March 17, 2009 09:52:19 PM
Inspired by ld 's wonderfull Dragons, I tried to make my boyfriend one made out of simple felt.

Here's how it turned out:

It has a wired body. So it's tail and wings are completely posable.

Comments and critiques welcome!!!
2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Literally 1000 day anniversary idea???? on: October 29, 2008 01:39:34 PM
 Huh Help Huh

Okay, I discovered by accident that in a week, it'll be my boyfriend's and I 1000 day anniversay. He doesn't know about it, nor I want to tell him, to make it a surprise.

But, the great problem is... what do I get him??

He watches lottssss of football, and is a cowboy's fan. He also loves anything to do with cars, and fitness. (just your regular guy) he listens to rock and hip hop

I've given him alot of crafts as gifts, so the crafting part is ok for him (i guess...)

I'd like to give him, something useful, or romantic, but not too corny.

I had thought up about giving him 1000 mini cupcakes, but it's a bad idea, since he takes alot of care on what he eats (more than me).

Any ideas?Huh Huh Grin

4  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 30 ENTRIES / iPod Cozy, for my non-iPod on: September 05, 2008 08:06:00 PM
This is my entry for this month's challenge. It's an iPod cozy. Everytime we're at school, all my friends get out their iPod, and I take out my mp3 player, from another brand. Now I can take out an iPod too!!  Grin

It's made out of an old tin for breath mints.

Here it is:

And here it is open, with my actual mp3 player inside:

Note, I do not claim to own, neither the song, brand of mints, nor the mp3 players brand!!

5  COOKING / Dessert / Sticky Chocolate!! Why??? on: August 30, 2008 08:10:44 PM
My sister and I have been doing little cupcakes recently, and we dipped them on white chocolate. Then, we cooled them on the freezer, or even at room temperature, but they don't seem to harden! It only stays sticky, and messy when you grab them.

Why is this happening? My boyfriend thinks that the chocolate is bad, and my mother thinks that it's because of the weather, there's to much humidity(since it's been raining the past days).

If anyone has an answer it will be greatly appreciated!!
6  CLOTHING / Shoes: Discussion and Questions / Help me save my boots!! on: July 15, 2008 11:42:27 AM
Ok, You see I have a cute pair of boots, which I bought very cheaply ($10). But once they got home they began suffering. Every time I rub my finger over them, they start scraping off. I believe it's made from synthetic leather, or something like it. They look really bad now. Since they're black I tried painting the missing spots with a permanent marker, but it was useless, since it still comes off, ad you can reallyu notice where it was painted again. I was wondering if anyone knows how to 'dress them up', or how to put another fabric over it, or I don't know. Anything!!

Can anyone help me? Huh
7  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 26 ENTRIES / My "sweet poptart" mp3 player holder on: April 01, 2008 04:12:14 PM
First off, I don't have dollar store where I live, so I spent the equivalent of 1 dollar in each material.

This is my challenge entry:

It's an mp3 cozy! that looks like a poptart!

1 meter of Pink felt  = 1 dollar
1 meter of yellow felt= 1 dollar
  total=2 dollars

This is how it looks form the outside:

This is how it looks from the backside:

It carries perfectly my mp3 player!

I was inspired when I was doing my own batch of felt donuts, like the ones made by Julieko, here:
