Inspired by the craftster slogan "Knit fast - die warm" I made this tote bag for a knitting friend. The print is bleached with a felt-pen dipped in clorine and then painted in some of the bleached areas with fabric pens.
They are great on recycling in Central America, and my friend got me a simple bag made of an old flour sack from Honduras. I love the printing on it, but I never used it because I didn't really like the bag. So, this is a reconstructed, reconstructed flour bag of plastic turned into a grocery bag. I ironed it and that turned out great because now I can fold it - just like one on those paper bags you get (buy in Sweden!) in the grocery store.
I got really inspired by some of the bleached stuff I have seen here on Crafter especially emlee_bee http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=201691.msg2146348#msg2146348 Unfortunately I can't find any kind of bleach pen here in Sweden, so I have dipped an old felt-tip pen in chlorine, since my various tries with spraying bleach on the fabric have been disastrous. I hope I can inspire you in any way.
Here is a wet felted camera case I made a while ago. A friend's friend has sheep and I got a bag of fresh shaved wool The wool is not colored, and I had to card the wool, which took the longest time. I made a small bag of oilcloth to put inside the case to protect the camera from all the small fiber that come of from the wool and also to make it a little more water proof.
