I like!
How did you make it? What material did you use?

Wow, I love them. Thanks for the inspiration!

I would like to try reconstruct one in plastic, but I can't really think of where I would get the plastic from. The only thing that I can think of right now is from 2 litres icecream boxes (the Swedish boxes are usually made out of white plastic) but it would take me forever to collect 30 pieces, although I am sure I am capable of it  Wink

But on the other hand I'm not sure they are big enough. Does anyone have any suggestions what I could use otherwise?
15  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / flour sack --> grocery bag "Harina San Pedro" on: March 04, 2008 01:35:21 AM
They are great on recycling in Central America, and my friend got me a simple bag made of an old flour sack from Honduras.
I love the printing on it, but I never used it because I didn't really like the bag.  So, this is a reconstructed, reconstructed flour bag of plastic turned into a grocery bag. I ironed it and that turned out great because now I can fold it - just like one on those paper bags you get (buy in Sweden!) in the grocery store.

So when you do an object like this, you take the bleach pen and draw out what you want, and then you wash the garment?

yes, only I couldn't find a bleach pen so I used an old felt pen and cuetips. Then I let the garment dry over night. I was a little scared that the bleach would bleach the whole garment while washing in the machine, but it didn't happened. Although some other socks that I was washing at the same time got some bleach on them, but I don't know if it was from washing, or from messing around with the bleach earlier  Wink

Great idea with the skeleton. I know I already posted but I was just thinking how cool it might be to do undies with a pelvis on...
That would be awesome! Please post if you make 'em

Thanks everyone.
That's so cool!  I love the raccoon shirt!  Did you just draw these freehand?  Wow!
No, I don't have the skills to draw freehand so all are stolen. I found the raccoon on http://www.dafont.com/theme.php?cat=702 and for the socks I used this site http://vcmstatic.sabc.co.za/VCMStaticProdStage/EDUCATION/StaticHTML/Schools/Beyond%20The%20Classroom/Ideas%20Library/Theme%20Pictures/Human%20Body%20-%20Skeleton/Skeletal.htm

I got really inspired by some of the bleached stuff I have seen here on Crafter especially emlee_bee http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=201691.msg2146348#msg2146348
Unfortunately I can't find any kind of bleach pen here in Sweden, so I have dipped an old felt-tip pen in chlorine, since my various tries with spraying bleach on the fabric have been disastrous.
I hope I can inspire you in any way.

I stole this stencil from this page: http://triciawang.vox.com/library/posts/tags/san+francisco/

It is first bleached and then stenciled with fabric paint. Do you think I should ad the flower or not?
