51  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: old worn-out 50s table into... THIS! (image heavy-ish) on: April 18, 2008 07:02:30 AM
Nice swallows/cherries.  I've got some friends who would be totally jell-o for this.
52  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Old crappy dresser into piano key awesomeness! :) on: April 18, 2008 07:01:05 AM
It looks clean, simply and pretty from the front and then VaVoom! with the piano keys.  They are just the right size!  Good job you.  (Or dad?)

That fabric is amazing.  Period.  Now I need a way to hide my catbox.  Messy little buggers.

I think the resin gives it a nice clean put-together feeling.
Super color choice. Smiley

The black/white/gold one is fantastic!  Nice nice.
56  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: swim suit! on: April 18, 2008 03:10:25 AM
Nice job... I've heard swimsuits are super difficult.  With that extra fabric, you could make another one that size and send it my way...
PM me if you want to work that out by payment or trade.

None offense taken to the shots, btw.
57  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / 50s Kelvinator Fridge - Revamped!! (Before & After Pic) on: April 18, 2008 02:48:10 AM
Grandpa had a great old fridge in his fishing cabin, then it came to live with my parents.  Unfortunately, it reeked of fish and had about 12 layers of paint on it... so after two days of cleaning, stripping, sanding, and spraypainting:

I did this two years ago for a Fourth of July party, but I've never posted here before.  The color is 50s inspired robin's egg blue and the hardware is silver hammered-metal spray paint.

The "before" pic is after the stripping... and it didn't work too well.

The bottom tilts out to hold ice and it sprayed white.  The interior is white as well and the racks are painted with the same hammered-metal.  It's now a beer/soda fridge.  (Maybe I'll inherit it if I get a house of my own someday.)
