once again, i've titled a project of mine as that of a woodland fairy because of its color, my obsession with fairies, and the fact that i think it looks like something a fairy would knit herself. lol

so this is the Vixen Camisole pattern from Sensual Knits. i absolutely love it. it took so long to knit but was so worth it.(and might i add that this would never have happened if it wasn't for my beautiful boyfriend. he saw Sensual Knits in a book store, knew i'd love it, and bought it for me. he's so sweet and lovely)

i used Knit Picks' Edamame fingering yarn and then Oregano for the bulky yarn-part.

this is the first hat i've ever made that i think i'll actually wear! lol!

i used vanna's choice yarn; dusty blue and silver blue

lol the reason for their title is because the main stitch used for this pattern is the waffle stitch. the pattern is free here: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/waffle-stitch-fingerless-gloves   

but you have to be a ravelry member, though

so here they are! i used velvet viscose in raspberry from thewoodpeddler but this yarn is discontinued.

teehee. the reason i titled this as such is because i think these socks look like a little woodland fairy zoomed around the forest gathering moss and grass to make into some warm socks to wear in her hollow-tree house. (sometimes the draft can make the floors cold)

these are my first ever handmade socks and knitting was the chosen method. i used yarn bee's soft delight extremes. i did not have a pattern. this was improvized. but i was heavily guided by this nice lady: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9NQMGCo_mXY

they are soooo warm, fuzzy, and cozy! lol

i made them cus it's getting hot now and that means the AC will be on in the house and it always makes our floor cold. so i need something to keep meh tozies warm

i'm sure u know of the wonderfully amazing-to-touch yarns such as italia from yarn bee or infatuation for yarn bee (pic below of it)

i want to know how to make that kind of fuzzy yarn when i spin

i was wondering if maybe you can do that kind of thing by taking fibers like mohair locks and spinning them loosely into your yarn, letting the ends fluff out


am i right?

i saw someone on etsy was selling handspun yarn that looked kinda like italia from yarn bee and she said that she spun faux fur into it to make it soft and fluffy

will mohair locks be as soft and silky as store-bought fuzzy yarn?

if you know anymore information on it, i will appreciate the 411 :}

i saw that other people here on craftster had made some and i saw how convenient and organized they looked and knew i needed one! so i went to the store and bought a roll of this pretty scrap material and made one for myself. it really is a lot more organized and not to mention just pretty! i like how the fabric used makes it look kinda vintage....like it comes from the victorian era!

weeee! this last saturday, i had my bellydance hafla and this is what i made for it! for the top, i took a plain black bra and decorated it. but the hip scarf was made from complete scratch.
