Folks have some awesome projects on here!  I know I often slow down when summertime rolls around, but that doesn't seem to be a problem for others.

I've got a stockpile of projects I haven't updated, so forgive the super long post.

First of all, the obligatory lapghans.

That finishes up the latest batch of acrylic.  I'm visiting the grandfolks next week, and if they try to send me home with more yarn, I might cry.  I haven't been able to work on my own stash for ages and ages.

And some more ConKerr pillowcases.  I set up to mass produce them last month, but didn't get around to it until this week.  There are a few more cut out and ready to go, but I've run out of steam for now.

(All from stash)

(had to buy a little for this one)

(the flannel shrank more than expected, so this one is a tad short)

thread and needle #1 by mr.beaver, on Flickr

Color: Rainbow
Pattern: Animals. And it doesn't have to be animal print unless you want to interpret it that way, or if you have lots of zebra print spandex lurking in your stash.
For: Kiddos – yours or someone elses', or simply the young at heart.
Challenge: Six month mark. Time to re-organize, take stock, and make plans for the second half of the year.

I'm up to 3 quilts for 2012.  Yet another disappearing nine-patch, and a quilt-top I made last summer.  It's tied, which I hope still counts, since I could not for the life of me get our treadle machine to cooperate long enough to quilt.  It really cut the finishing time down, but I don't think I like it as much as the crinkly-quilted ones I've made.

Millie is so excited I actually took her somewhere fun!  She had a grand time on our day-trip to DC.

Waiting for the Metro:

(It's dark down there, I'm amazed this picture came out at all)

A Monument!

(I may kinda spent the day in art galleries and therefore don't have as many pictures of Millie as she would like.)

Random Public Art:

She may be giving bad chess advice.  I couldn't tell who was winning.

Yet another lapghan.  This one is made out of leftovers and well and truly ugly.  I was so happy that it was done so I wouldn't have to look at it any more, and then my grandmother gave me another bag of yarn for more.  I am DOOMED!

Nifty bonnet, bananaleg.  I love the color.

michelleandbean - I've been dyeing to make dishcloths, but I don't have any appropriate yarn in my stash.  Yours look great.

And some destashing of my own.  This quilt top's been sitting around for months, and I just finally gave up wrestling with the treadle machine to do the quilting and went ahead and tied it.  I think it worked okay.

Thanks!  The fabric is actually a bunch of really colorful elephants.  I've had it for years and love it to death, but finally came to the conclusion I had no idea what I was saving it for.  There's still a quarter yard left for me to use when I find the perfect project.

prevailing purple by paloetic, on Flickr

Color: Purple
Pattern: Numbers and letters.
For: Teachers, educators, etc. Maybe they're your kids', maybe they're yours. But they deserve some love.
Challenge: Mass produce something. It doesn't matter what it is, just make a lot of it. If nothing else, they make good gifts on hand.

Sorry to be so scarce these last few weeks.  It's been a busy month, but some progress was made in the DeStashing effort.

Exhibit 1: another ConKerr pillowcase

Exhibit 2: uselessly short scarf

Also created a small scrapbook for a mother's day present for my grandma, but the pictures of pictures might be a bit boring, so I'll leave that to your imagination.

Millie's enjoying the last of the dogwoods this spring, and scheming how she could take some home with her.

Also, that gallbladder looks truly evil.  It's going to be awesome in a bonfire.
