Love the bags and all the other projects that popped up while I was without an internet connection (yay for visiting parents who still live in the dark ages).

I finished up a bookbinding summer class a few weeks ago, and managed to use up a little bit of stash for some of the projects.  Bookboard and paper for the textblocks was provided, but I got to trot out some of the pretty scrapbook paper I horde for no apparent reason.  Most of the books I made had end papers from stash, but here are a few with stash covers as well (easier to photograph  Tongue).

I ended up coming home with more than I used up.  My classmates were discarding such pretty papers when we cleaned out our drawers.  But I have bookbinding II for the fall, so with any luck it won't stay stashed for long.

I finally got around to photographing a scarf I finished earlier this month.  That's 3 more balls out of the stash, and finally puts an end to my massive collection of SWS, which makes me rather sad.

Thought I'd share some de-stash progress of the non-yarn variety.

My college roommate is getting married later this summer, so I'm helping to plan her bachelorette party.  Made up the invites last night (about 10 sheets of card-stock down) and since I didn't want to buy a whole box of envelopes for the occasion, I made some out of scrapbook paper.  I own way too much of the stuff, considering I don't do that particular craft.  I went through about 25 sheets of pretty paper, what with the duds and the ones the cat decided needed shredding.  Here's a few of the finished products:

Now that finals are over, I have some projects to post.

This little guy is the main reason I had nothing to post for ages and ages, as I was learning faire isle during the busy part of the semester.  And I don't have enough in stash to finish the second mitt (one of the problems of working from stash).

And then a simple scarf made with yarn from an old frogged thrift store find.  Ugliest sweater in existence, so my housemate has dubbed it "Muppet vomit."  The yarn is nice and squishy though.

Finished a rather hideous hat out of leftover yarn from a scarf I made my mother last year.  I've still got another skein of this lying around, argh.

In keeping with qazicat's lovely Easter colors:

That's another four skeins of Red Heart down.  The end is in sight!

I was weak - my local yarn shop was having a sale, and I managed to pick up 6 balls of yarn for a song.  The only problem is, only one has a specific project slated for it.  I am telling myself that its okay: they're small and don't take up much room, and I needed some reward after finishing this up earlier in the month.

36 (or more) inches square, which equals two large skeins of Red Heart out the door and off to my Grandmother's church for their never ending lapghan drive.  The total volume of the newly purchased yarn consumes less space than a Red Heart Super Saver, so I think I'm still ahead by a little bit.

Such pretty doves and invites!

tlh878- welcome aboard.  Can't blame you for skipping reading it all (that's time that could be spent crafting, after all).  But if you find yourself in need of inspiration, there are "themes" on the first page.

I've got a few little bags to show.  (well actually two small and one large).

I'm particularly fond of the green one, as it is just the right size for small knitting projects, or a paperback and sandwich, and its made from just a fat quarter.

That's probably all the sewing I'll get to do for a while.  I'm back at school, and didn't have room for much stash in my suitcase...But I still have plenty of yarn to get through.

Finally something to show!

For the record, the pink background color was the oldest thing in my stash.  It is the tail end of a ball of yarn that I got for my silly peg-loom back in elementary school and later used to learn to knit.  Sad to see it go...
