3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Personalized Record Bowl Gift on: April 23, 2008 07:20:22 AM
My friend's birthday is tomorrow.  So I made her this record bowl.  I sprayed it w/ clear acrylic spray to seal it.  Hope she likes it.  Smiley

4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Blossom Hat on: February 26, 2008 08:24:40 AM
It started out for me, but ended up for my DD.
Not because she begged for it, but because it ended up being too small for me. Sad
But I will make one for myself, just knitting it on bigger needles. Smiley

Anyway, the flower on top is crocheted, as well as the edging.  And the body of the hat is knit.

5  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Dino Baby Shower Gift on: February 20, 2008 01:58:03 PM
Both from Ottobre 5/06

This was my first at both patterns.

The sleep sack is flannel on the inside and outside. The orange that you see is just a contrast for the look, it stops under the arms and the rest is the dino flannel.

The onesie was my very first.  I used my machine's buttonhole applique stitch for the applique.

Do you think she'll like it?  :cheerful:
We don't know each other, but I felt the need to make a baby set. Cheesy

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Smock'd Rib Driving Gauntlets on: February 20, 2008 11:38:55 AM
I made these to wear while driving.  Having your fingers and thumbs free to steer, but keep that cold steering wheel off of you palms.  Smiley

If your wondering, my mp3 player is tiny, it's like the ipods that clip on your clothes, only its not an ipod.  Smiley
8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Floral Sheer Undies on: January 20, 2008 12:04:33 PM
They are made from a cheap sheer knit that I've had in my stash for at least a year.  The bindings are made from white knit, the white knit is also used in the crotch area.

9  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Gift Ideas for Dad's Birthday? on: January 17, 2008 01:44:28 PM
My dad is turning 49 next month.  And he just recently started a new job, he's a mechanic's assistant, and helps maintain garbage trucks. This is the first time he's working in this field, so I would like to make him something that he perhaps could use on the job.  This would be geared mostly towards sewing.  Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.  Smiley
10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Simpsons Recon Tee on: January 15, 2008 04:25:33 AM
You know that XL shirt that comes when you buy The Simpsons Movie?  Well it just got recon'd into an awesome girly summer tee.  Grin

Made a pattern from a RTW shirt I love, and made this top w/ the Simpsons tee and an old pink tee I had on my scrap pile.

Serged seams, neck binding, added a size tag, and added decorative edging to the sleeves.

What ya think?  Smiley
