1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Pirate Kitty & Charlotte the Bunny on: September 22, 2008 08:10:12 PM
Pirate Kitty was made for my cousin as his high school graduation gift.

The fabric I used is sort of like a crushed velvet. The patch and lei are made of felt. And the eye is a button.

Charlotte the Bunny was made for a friend's daughter's 2nd birthday.

The fabric is the same as Pirate Kitty's. And the dress is made from vintage fabric from an altered vintage dress.

Let me know what you think!  Cheesy
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Teardrop Lariat Necklace on: May 26, 2008 04:43:28 PM
I made this lariat necklace for my boyfriend's mom for Mother's Day. It wasn't until I wanted to make this that I realized that the big chain craft stores do not carry a great selection of beads and stones.  Angry Luckily I found a bead store nearby (The Place to Bead in San Ramon, California) that had a wonderful wide selection! The pink faceted teardrop is a quartz stone, and the smokey faceted teardrop is, I believe, glass. The floral loop was also bought at The Place to Bead.  Cheesy  In the pink quartz stone is a rhinestone headpin, which was from Michael's.

3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Kitty and Bunny BeanBuddies on: February 25, 2008 02:39:35 PM
My boyfriend and I have "pet"names for each other: Kitty (him) and Bunny (me). So back during Christmas, I made these bean buddies for him. They've got felt faces and tails, and embroidered noses; and they're filled with fluff and cat litter. (My mom cautioned me not to use actual beans or other edibles as they might inhabit little bugs.  Embarrassed)

4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / E.T.-like Bat Monster Felt Plushie on: February 25, 2008 02:30:29 PM
A while back, I made this guy for my cousin for his 8th grade graduation. =) He named it "My Best Friend." hahaha I guess it's a hybrid between a bat and E.T. I don't know. =P haha

5  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Questions about using PayPal with Etsy on: May 24, 2007 10:33:13 PM
Hi all! I'm a little stumped. I'm planning on opening up a shop on Etsy soon, but I'm a little confused as to how to use PayPal with it. For those of you who do use PayPal, do you have to upgrade to a premier or business account? On Etsy, is it possible to only accept transactions made with people who have a PayPal account? I don't plan to rake in more than $500 a month on Etsy, so if it's possible, I'd like to stick with the personal PayPal account I already have.

According to the personal account limits, it says, "As long as you are within your monthly receiving limit, you can accept up to 5 credit or debit card payments per year at our low per transaction rate." Does that mean that if you accept payment from someone without a PayPal account but PayPal facilitates the transaction, then there's a fee for that (if over 5 of those kinds of transactions per year)? Otherwise all transactions made with someone with a PayPal account is free? (Here's a table contrasting the personal account with the premier/business accounts. https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-pop-fees-outside)

Sorry for all the PayPal/Etsy-illiterate questions! =/ Any help would be so so very much appreciated! =D Thank you!
6  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Kiwi's Plaid Dress on: May 15, 2007 01:58:07 PM
I recently adopted the cutest Jack Russel-Poodle dog. I noticed that while taking her out to the backyard in the mornings and at nights to do her business that she would shiver from the cold. I browsed Target's selection of doggie clothes, but none were on clearance (I'm a cheap-o). So I found this free basic pattern online (http://sewing.circleofcrafters.com/freepetvestpattern.html) to use to make this little dress for her! teehee!

I added velcro for closure at the neck and chest, a bow at the neck, and an eyelet trim to the bottom hem.

7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / My DS Lite's New Home on: March 11, 2007 03:20:37 PM
Every DS [Lite] needs a cute case to house it in! heehee

The outside fabric's made of a knit jersey, while the inside lining is a black quilted fabric. When I started out making this, I wanted it to have a scalloped edged flap similar to this: http://www.barijonline.com/lemakeupgray.html. But after sewing it, it didn't turn out nicely. So I chopped off parts, tucked the edges in, and closed it up by stitching it with burgandy embroidery floss. It still looked plain, so I whipped up a felt bow to attach to it.  Cheesy

My DS Lite is warm and cozy... and protected!

A view of the lining.
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Tendrilled Flower Neck Wrap on: March 05, 2007 11:12:27 PM
I know I've seen these around somewhere, but more scarf-like. I had knitted (or crocheted?) flowers laying around that I found at Big Lots for 25cents each =D... so I was inspired to make one. Not as extravagent because I don't know how to knit or crochet, so I knifty knitter-ed it. haha!

9  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Key & Crystal Necklace on: February 26, 2007 01:23:12 PM
My new favorite piece of jewelry that I crafted up a few days ago. Me <3s it!  Grin

10  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Some bunny loves you card on: February 26, 2007 11:53:29 AM
I've been with my boyfriend for nearly 5years, but have never once made a Valentine for him. Shocked After coming to that realization, I HAD to make one! So here's the first of hopefully more to come.  Smiley
