i love everyones trees! its great to see how other people decorate =)

i bought my tree at Dollar General for 20 bucks a few years ago!
its a 6ft white tree
i dont really have a theme.just vintage glass ornaments from the 50s and 60s , some my mom made and alot from my childhood. like my little mermaid ornaments!


i have blue lights and lemme tell ya it was hard as hell to find white color strand lights!

and heres one of the ornaments my mom made when she was a teenager in the 60s

my 9 year old step daughter has been bugging me to make her a dress for her first day of school in two weeks.  we went to the store and she picked out the pattern herself. i had just went to the local goodwill and picked up a bunch of nifty looking bedsheets. she picked out her own as well. and then after dinner we sat down at my sewing table and 2 hours later ( after i had to sem rip out the skirt part, my fault i sewed it wrong =P) she had a first day of school dress!

i havent put on the straps yet she has decided whether she wants it as a halter or a tank

and the reason i love using sheets! pre hemmed!

hello all! its been a while since i've posted a project on here

so my boyfriend received his tax return and then let me loose in a Joann's for an hour. so $64 later i come out with this material . its by Alexander Henry, i forgot the actual name of it.
my boyfriend thinks im crazy for making a dress using this material but i love it. its loud and pretty kick ass =P

i used a moditfy version of Vogue Pattern V8184 view c
the things i changed were i added another panel for the skirt because i didnt think it poofed out enough for when i wear a petticoat under it



im thinking of changing the straps to a different color (what do you think?)

i adopted this cutie yesterday from the local animal shelter.
shes a beagle mix around a year old.
her name is Betsy. she is the best dog i've ever seen!
and so cute too!

i live in ohio and its freakin cold and my poor baby was shivering in the cold when i took her out. so i went to the store to try and find some doggy coats but when i saw the prices i decided to make my own. i found this free pattern online

i had to alter it a bit
 i lined it in some fleece with some left over black & white checker cotton on top.

this is my first doggy project

and i have more fleece left over so im going to make her more coats!

i just recently moved from a 1 bedroom house to a 4 bedroom house..so what do i do?! get more stuff of course! my great aunt asked me to come over and help her move some things out of the basement to be thrown away..one thing caught my eye. a vanity! i've always wanted one. my great aunt said i could have it because the family members that were living with her ruined it.

i gladly hauled it back to my house, a different state.
this is what the vanity looked like when i got it



the mirror had marker, stickers,,even candy stuck on it!


with a little help from my boyfriend. the vanity transformed into this!





it comes with a little stool but i havent even started on it
and hopefully eventually ill get new handles for the drawers

so this is my first recon besides making my jeans skinny. but basically this was just a regular t shirt but i needed something to wear to the bar last night and i wanted a tank top so i just made it a tube top and added some straps. i love it! =)
i kept getting compliments and whenever some nasty drunk rednecks would bother me i told them to just look at my shirt! (aint i a sweetheart =P)

so i just finished this dress. the pattern is some Vogue pattern. i kinda fudged my way through it and had to make alot of alterations to make it fit me correctly. i bought the fabric at walmart for 2 bucks a yard. they already have the halloween fabric on the clearance racks!!

** dont mind my dead look there. im tired! =P**
oh yea i still need to hem it =P

i have no idea why the straps look like they are uneven. i swear its not like that in real life =P
and cause i couldnt get the fit just right i added a corset back

i whipped this baby up tonight to wear to my boyfriends birthday party at our friends bar. he loves frankenstein! this fabric was a curtain i had made but i grew tired of it so i turned it into a top

and of course i had to add the bride mud flap girls

yea i know the stitching looks bad..you cant have perfect stitching when your doing a frankenstein shirt!

i just finished this dress. its made out of a bedsheet and its lined with a bedsheet i found at the thrift store. the straps and the mid section was just left over fabric. i should take a pic of the mid section fabric upclose its umbrellas

i like this dress because its matches my boyfriends truck

i cant remember what pattern i used. its somewhere in a pile of crap in my sewing room 

i just got my first tattoo on saturday! i got some atomic starbursts on the inside of my left forearm

i cant wait till its all healed so it wont look so gross

theres a story about this shakey lines.. i asked my boyfriend to go over the lines on the paper because they were very faint because our printer sucks..well i guess he cant draw a straight line =P so they were shakey..but as i looked at it.. i loved it haha..my tattoo artist didnt. he said he never worked so hard to make shakey lines 

i already want to get more!
