1  Re: Stitching through interfacing is murdering my machine in Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions by fatgail on: February 22, 2009 06:51:56 AM
Well, I tried lowering the tension to the absolute lowest, and I increased the length of the stitch a bit.  I also stopped using heavy weight quilting thread and went to all purpose.  I'm still getting the same issue.  I've got some pictures to see if it gives anyone any ideas.  It's really frustrating me.

Here's the front of the stitch:

And then, I flip the work and it looks like this!

Anymore ideas?  It's a Brother LS-1217

2  Cork bulletin board/collage! in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by fatgail on: January 11, 2008 06:52:57 PM

Hey all, this is my first project post.  Thought I'd show off my paper crafts first.  This is a 2'x2' bulletin board for my kitchen.  The cork boards are from Target, you can buy them in packs of four.  I then took two 12x12 sheets of cardstock and collaged them with pages of books and catalogs, covered them in some modpodge.  I glued each of the squares to a 2'x2' piece of foamcore.  I stretched some ribbon across to emulate the look of a french bulletin board and jazzed it up a little with some decorative scrapbooking brads.

It's superlight and is hanging on the wall with those clean removing adhesive squares.  Thanks for stoppin' by!
