It is a gorgeous dress for sure.  And although it isn't the end of the world, I can see why you wouldn't want to wear the same exact dress down the aisle in the same year as your friend.

I would suggest creating a whole new sash in the colors of the wedding.  If you don't want to take aprt the dress (who would??!!) Make the sash a gorgeous shiny fabric as shown in the champagne and tack it to the dress. 

I hope you will post pics of what you and your sister decide to do to the dress after you figure it all out.

I think in a class like yours it must be hard because there is no "right and wrong", but their opinon of it.

I just hit this rocks.  I absolutely love anything 60's red diner anyway (kitchen remodel on the way), and this purse is simply amazing.   You could SOOOO sell these for big money girl!!!

I have been drooling over this quilt for some time.  It is saved in my favorites and I have been collecting denim for some time now to make one.  LOL  I have found most of my denim at a local Thrift shop.  Jeans there are 25 cents on weekdays and 10 cents on Saturdays.  I walk in and buy a bagful at a time!  LOL

I already have the patriotic fabric (found on sale at a local quilt shop a LONG time ago..didn't know what I would ever do with it, but now I know), and have the fabrics for the backing too!  Now I just need to find some time to start working on it.

I am planning on making this for my neice and nephew as a Christmas present.  I hope mine comes out half as beautiful as yours does Kimby!!!
