I learned a new stitch! i think it is called the lattice stitch, and i am not even sure i am doing it right. But despite my possible ignorance, i made a new hat with it! i think it is my favorite, i made one for myself!

I have been in a "springy" mood lately and decided it was time to make a hat that reflected that. i chose this juicy red color and just winged the design. when i put it on it reminded me of a strawberry!you can't get much more spring like than that! soo....here are the pics!

this hat makes me happy!

comments, critiques, and questions welcome! Grin

5  This hat make me look like an ACORN! pics in Crochet: Completed Projects by may2304 on: November 12, 2009 01:53:49 PM
Ok, so I love this goldenrod yarn i picked up at hobby lobby and i thought it would look good with a bit of charcoal yarn i had lying around. I used my own pattern and thus was born the Acorn Hat! lol. seriously, it makes me look like an acorn head, but i love it.
But don't take my word for it, here are the pics! Cheesy

a little detail

so what do you think? Wink

6  new hat WITH HANDMADE BUTTON! in Crochet: Completed Projects by may2304 on: November 07, 2009 10:55:19 AM
so i decided to try to experiment with my own hat pattern. I usually make hats with evenly spaced ribbing separated with dcs, so i decided to forgo the dcs and use increasing clusters. at least i think they are clusters, i could be wrong. to my suprise, the clusters didn't just increase the crown size, but also made the ribbing kinda wave like! anyway, i hope i can do it again, lol. the best part about this hat is that i made the heart button myself! oh, and excuse my goofy pics, i hate having to be a model, lol.
on to the pics:

c&c welcome!

ok, this is probably one of my favorite hats that i have made! i love the colors and i love the yarn!! it is so soft! it is one of those hats that actually make me glad that i make "samples" for myself to model. that means i get to keep the sample! yay! ok, now for the pics!

this is the attitude i am talking about, lol.

the fat made-by-me button! yay!

you know you love the jauntiness! lol, is that a word?

one to show the stitches.

so what do you think? Grin

8  Ok, seriously, i need an intervention! in Crochet: Completed Projects by may2304 on: August 28, 2009 11:47:26 AM
Wink I know what your are thinking, "when is this girl gonna stop bugging us with her silly hats? I mean how many more could she possibly make?!" . Well i'll tell you. LOTS! until someone comes over here and snatches my hook from my hands, i don't think i can stop. Maybe it is a disease! So without further a due, here is my newest hat!

once again, please ignore my goofiness! comments and questions welcome!

10  Rip It hat-I figured out visors!! in Crochet: Completed Projects by may2304 on: August 21, 2009 12:15:27 PM
i am so proud of myself! trying to make visors/bills/brims on hats was like a mystery to me. so i just sat down and decided to look at it like a sculpture. so after some work, this is what i got!

please ignore my goofy face!

anyway, i love this hat! and it is all my own design, so comments and critiques are appreciated!
